Here are some photo's of our last outing in the Unimogs. The pics really don't so as much justice as being there but check them out anyway.

Thanks, this spot is close to my fathers house up in Shingle Springs. I was actually out just testing some modifications we had done to the 404's fuel regulator. This spot isn't really a wheeling trail as much as it's a dirt bike trail that has a couple spots with some big rocks to play in. Great testing grounds though!

r those springs in the rear really from a aerostar? they look ridiculously long for any aerostar if so what year?

Yes they are rear aerostar springs, when they normally sit on a vehivle they compress well and are not very tall, but when you allow them to flex, boy do they move. I don't know the exact year of my springs because they were given to me from a friend. I do know that there are regular aerostar springs and 3/4 ton aerostar springs and I'm running the 3/4 ton springs. Hope that helps!

I was thinking an areostar was a ford minivan???

It is, I believe the setup just severely limits the suspension to move. Is there anyone who owns a Ford aerostar Minivan that is willing to test this belief out and take it through the Rubicon? I will donate my old 40" tires and you can cover the lift and you won't even need to get new springs! I'm interested who the first person was to figure it out, I heard the idea from several other people before I tried it.

how much did you pay for it?

No "if you don't mind me asking?" j/k I picked it up for $15,000 and I put about $3000-$4000 into it.
Moving the gas tank, air tank & battery pack, new exhaust, Custom 20" Beadlocks, (not shown in pics) Iroks, a new bed, and probably more that I have forgot to mention.
