Anyone swap their Blazer tailgate for a truck tailgate? Pics?

I did it a few years ago on a 1977 model. It was very easy.
The only thing that was a bit of a hassle was getting the right pivot sizes. Apparantly, there's two different sizes (smaller and larger). At first, I had the smaller male part and the larger female. The tailgate was harder to close. Once I change out for the right size, all was well.

no more rear window, but saved a bunch of weight.

If you have all the parts from a donor vehicle, you should be able to install it in about 30 minutes. Simple mod.

Sweet, then I'll raid the junkyard for a donor. I'm going to a soft top, and I don't need the heavy tailgate.

Just did the same a couple of weeks ago, just get all the parts from the donor truck and you will be set.

Just so you know, a pickup tailgate came from the factory with the optional soft top.
