looking real good. how thick is that material you used? Why the various small sections of steel up top rather than one large piece? Looks cool how you did it just wondering why you did it that way...material too thick to bend with tools you had? going to paint it to match the pumpkin or keep it the same as the bumper? that has to be the most different mod I've seen done to any XJ

..This is my friends Jeep!! It is one piece of plate steel...!I forgot to ask the thickness ( pretty thick at least 1/4")...They cut the slits in the steel to help conform the steel to the body and that is where they are welding it to the body also!!...The rear is held on where the stock light bolted on!...

..I think it will be painted to match the truck!

You gonna use LED's, or is it going to remain lightless in the rear??

Yep...He's planning on using 4" LED's ..just trying to find the best prive for them!!!

The truck is off to the body shop to fill in the wheel wells...Should be done soon!!..I will shoot some final shots when it is complete!!!:D

Well!!..We took it out to "flex' it out a bit to check clearences and shit!!...The shop cut the wheels and re-welded them together with about 2" of BS......The body work is not done yet!..You can see the stock tail light duct taped on to get it to the body shop in the pics!!..IF THEY WILL LOAD!@@@@@!!Here..I go!!

Very cool, I've been looking at pics of this build up for a while now, and I'm very impressed, but, why all the green stuff underneath? Did you guys get a good deal on 3000 gallons of that paint? Ox cable covers are cool.

Funny story about the green paint!!..The shop that is doing all the work used this paint on all of there anti-axlewrap bars that color green.Now whenever they build something custom they paint it green!!...My buddy has to go over it with other color paint ...usually black after he gets it back from them!!!..Oh they call all all of there axlewrap bars..."Green bars" Here a pic of the wheels the re-did!!

With a color like that, I knew there would be a story.

They did some work on my Cruiser once..I specified...NO GREEN PAINT!!!!...Got it back black...NICE!

Has awesome led lights made by "Trucklite" for 29.00 ea. I put them in my CJ and they work great.

Yep!!..Painted the rear panel black and put in LED's...We went on trail ride through Secret Pass on Sunday!!..I have lots of pics but the site wont let me post them!!!

New shot after all the welds got smoothed out!

Thats the right stuff to bring me up, after I have done my axle swap for my XJ now with D44, I think about a 6 to 8 lug conversion to drive some rearl great wheels, 35" yeahhh!:flipoff2:
