My friends dad wants to put a lift on his blazer, enuf to fit 32" tires. I dont really know anything about the s10 blazers though. I know they are pretty low. I sat a 32" tire i had laying around next to it...and at the front they were taller then the bottom of the fender. I think he will need 4-5 inches of lift. It wont be no hardcore off-road rig..as u can see with 32" tires. Just a DD and a hunting rig. If you could give me lift options of what works best, wheel backspacing, and tire size, id appreciate it. Thanks.

Stock wheels, 2" body lift, and a little trimming and they'll fit. Or have him get a ZR2 and they will fit stock with a little trimming.

i second that.

a buddy of mine ran 33 12.50s on a older s10 with a 3 inch body lift, rubbed a little when offroad

also take into mind that when you put the tire next the truck will be a bit higher cause the tire is taller. so technically you should have jacked the truck up and took the 32 and put it so the middld of that tire is lined up with the middle of the rim to get a better idea

ya i know that once bolted on it would be taller, we took that into consideration, but still...2" body lift..still dont seem like it would clear. and the frame is low enuf on it as it is. would anyone recomend a 2" suspension lift or so? or will that not give enuf clearence. he wants to get some crager soft 8s. what backspacing would be close to the factory spec, i know i could measure..but i dont have it here to do it. a friend of mine had an s10 crew cab, he had a body lift and i think he just did shackles. ive done a body lift to my 87 pathfinder, but under the hood of that s10blazer..there looks to be a lot more that you need to unhook and such, is it pretty envolved, or is it fairly simple?

He would be better off spending the cash on a rear locker and run 30" tires on the stock rig. The locker will get him out of more jams then 32" tires. 30" tires will fit with no modifications to the suspension or drivetrain. To get 31" under it he needs 2" of lift, either supsension of body lift. To get 32" he needs 5-6" of lift and still have open diffs.

Your not going to get hung up on the bottom of the rig, its pretty flat and generally nothing hangs lower then the frame. You might want to go measure that frame height, its not as low as it looks. My '93 with 235/75R15 tires is about 9.5" off the ground. While my '00 with 30" tires is about 9" off the ground by the rear spring, the newer body styles the frame drops in the back.

Go with a rear locker and 30" tires. Big tires dont mean squat if the don't get any power.

i think he wants the extra height and bigger tire for looks more then anything. but he does go hunting alot. on my 87 pathy, i have a 3" bodylift with 32" dunlop mud rovers, and can get thru quite a bit. its open diffs all around. but its geared low stock, 4.38, so that helps some. and im sure he wont be goin thru anything like i have. i will talk to him about it and see what he thinks. thanks.

u can try a superlift 6in lift i had it on mine and ran 33 12.50 with out a prob of clearance, but i used and abused this thing and i broke 2 front driveshafts, 4 hub assy's and a cv axle but if i had to do it again id body and chop it just a thought

unless you want to waste the money on the 6inch lift your gunna have to cut the fenders. i got 33 12.5 on mine with a two inch body lift. but my fenders are cut good and i sledge hammered the cab. also you might want to crank up the torsion bars a bit. they sag after time and the vehicle is probably lower now then when it was brand new.

i had to take the bottom half of my fan shroud off and move the remote oil filter so it would be outa the fan. i cant afford electric fan but if you could it would help with that stuff. flipped the brackets and used upper holes for lower bolts on rear bumper. front bumber is mounted above frame so i just made some spacers and 2 inch longer bolts to raise it. very easy.
