What are the best print resources for expedition travel?
I am looking for magazines and books about the subject. Forum like this and the www.expeditionportal.com are great, but I would like to spend some time away from the computer too.
So, what are the best mags and books about expedition travel? :)
Thanks

X3 for Overland Journal - well worth the subscription price, also, Scott, the publisher is a poster on this board if you have a question about something you see in the mag.
Highly recommend Sahara Overland by Chris Scott http://www.sahara-overland.com/

Ya, i ordered that one, along wit hthe DVD's for it.
I also got the "Long Way Down'. England to the southern tip of Africa -- apparently that is somewhat of a "common" trip for British/European folks looking for a decent-length trip.

It is quarterly, and the last one came out at least a month ago. Its a physically high quality as well as a content high quality mag.
Two issues ago, they drove North of the Artic Circle and the tires froze to the ground when they stopped to take a picture :eek::eek: Thats tooooo cold for me!!:mr-t:

We had a pretty cold winter this year, but my tires never froze to the ground!:laughing:
We had to plug the block heaters in for like a month straight though...
