Found a 9" and 44 out of a bronco complete with warn manual locking hubs brakes are good. axle is cast on wedges.

ford 9 is an 82 ford bronco and 78 bronco dana 44

Have heard to avoid the cast wedges. Any info would be greatly appreciated on this swap.

Is a good deal imho due to the gearing being perfect and already are locked but what roadblocks am I gonna run into? Thanks in advance guys

I hear the same thing about the cast wedges. you can't just cut em off. you can always run radius arms for a ford application on your YJ. They do got some neat stuff on the market that works well.

There is no tube uner the cast wedge. If you take the shafts out you can see the gap. Just trashed a HP 44 because i found out the hard way. 9" works great in the rear of a yj set up. Email me for some pictures Dprince382@yahoo.com

I can tell you all about it!
