This one is out of an Early 60's 4wd International Fire Engine. The differential was manufactured by the now defunct American Coleman Company.
Anyone else have any interesting tid bits about the company or diff in particular?

I have seen one of those once in a big rig wrecking yard.. definitely a different take on a steering u-joint.
They are without doubt hella Beefy....
American Coleman IIRC was the last gasp of the FWD (four wheel drive) car company... the first commercially available four wheel drive (of the style we know today.. ie:front diff)

the other axle company's that I have seen in old 4x4's are things like Timken front axles.. Marmon-Herrington conversions nad NAPCO front axles
