August 29 - September 1, 2008 ...... Trees Ranch

Its finalized. Just got off the phone with the Trees Ranch events coordinator and we are a go ahead for a Trees Ranch Labor Day Run.

Jodi of the North Houston Chapter and myself have been discussing this for over a month now and we now have the go-ahead from Trees.

It is also 4 Wheel Parts Customer Appreciation weekend at Trees. They will have a raffle on Saturday night which Im sure will be chock full of goodies for us. They also have some other things in the planning stages like maybe a dinner, etc. We can partake or do our own thing, up to you individually.

In case you do not know, Trees Ranch is remote. The nearest gas and ice is 20 miles away at a family owned corner store. The nearest large town is 60 miles away (Kerrville). So pack accordingly.

No pets. No glass.

They do have a bunkhouse you can reserve a spot in if you do not want to camp. I believe they have RV spots available.

Start preparing now, lockers are helpful, skids are smart, neither are mandatory. There is something at Trees Ranch for everyone. So if you just got a 4x4 and are still stock come run the mild trails, or if you are extremely built come take a shot at Lucifer, the so far unobtainable obstacle that carries a bounty on it.
