Been working on it for a little while but funds are tight right now. I had a basic SPOA with 31's but it wasn't enough so now I am swapping in Yota's, YJ's, 35" tires, and 6.5 t-case gears.

My rig ran good and did great offroad, but it didn't have any flex and I was always worried about breaking axles.
Before my last transfer I was able to pretty much finish my cage, but I still have a few gussets to add.

Wheel base is at 90 1/2" and the belly height in 20".

Thanks man, no plans for dual cases as of yet.

It still needs a lot of work before I get flex pic's, but I will post them when I get them. As for the YJ's being flat, I have no idea, this is the first set I've owned and I thought they were suppost to be. I am kind of glad they are that way, I think it would be super high if they were not flat.

My YJ's are almost completely flat. You just have to abuse them a little.:p

I was able to get some more done today, I started on the powersteering and was able to get the Sidekick p/s box mounted to the frame today.

The rear 2 holes on the Sidekick box lined up perfect with the front 2 holes on the frame from the old box, but it didn't move the new box forward enough to insure clearance when flexing.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0028.jpg
So I had to make 2 plates to brace the frame where I extended it so it was a good time to drill some new holes for the p/s box.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0047.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0037.jpg
Then I added some tubing to prevent the frame from being crushed.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0063.jpg
Then I bolted it all up and it looks good so far.

So now I have to install the pump, buy a pulley and belt and find a joint to hook the box up to the steering shaft. I also bought the Trail Gear highsteer and the draglink is to long, it is suppose to work with a Toyota box, so I will have to shorten it or swap one with somebody.

It has been a long time so I thought I would finally update my post here, enjoy!!!

UPDATE: 21JUN08

I actually did this about a week ago. I had two Toyota driveshaft and I was able to get one to fit the rear with just having to move the axle back 1 inch. The front shaft I had to seperate and lengthen, now all I have to do is get the adapters, new u-joints, clean them up, and they will be ready to go.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0058.jpg
This weekends task is to get the power steering installed and working, I didn't buy a kit, I wanted to make everything myself, to save money, plus if I can, why not.

My drag link was to long, had to shorten it 6 inches. I first cut a 6 inch section out of the middle.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0132.jpg
Then I hammered a piece of 3/4 inch rod 2 inches into it and welded it in place, then I hammered the opposite end on, welded it, then filled the gap in, and ground it flush.

UPDATE: 21JUN08 (continued)

Next I had to make a steering joint, I went to the junkyard and got I steering shaft from a Tracker, cut it up and made my steering joint. I saved $40 making my own.

Steering shaft from Tracker.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/0122.jpg
This was the hard part, I had to fab a bracket to mount the pump. It took about 4 hours using a grinder and drill press.

Pulley I got from LowRange Offroad.

Tommorow I have to mount the resevior, run the lines, put my radiator back in, bleed the lines, and cross my fingers and hope it all works.

Scott410

It works, it works, I can't believe it works, finally. I poured what fluid I could into the resevior before I started it, once the engine was running I poured a little more in and it was working perfectly(as I knock on wood), then I cycled it numerous times to bleed it, and it will turn the 35's one handed. Now I can wait to get it on the trails.

UPDATE: 02JUL08
Well I have been looking at fuel cells for awhile now and I couldn't really find one to fit like I wanted or if it was close, the price was pretty high, so I decided to make my own, that fit the way I wanted and cost me $50.

It size is 30.5" wide, 7" high, 11" length which equals 10.1 gallons.

Once mounted I will install the fuel inlet and show you how it looks, the only problem I have right now is trying to figure out exactly how I want to secure it underneath.

Well, since I haven't had the funds to buy stuff for my rig, I am trying to do what I can with what I have. I went to the steel shop the other day and came home with a 4x5' sheet of 18 gauge for $18 so I thought I would start on my comp cut for clearance.
Started buy cutting the fender out.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/Scott410-2006/140.jpg
I used a templet and a home made sheet metal break to make the piece. Bent it the wrong way the first time, what a pain to bend it back.
