: browning 525
cblood 05-24-2008, 04:12 PM So my buddy got me a Browning Citori 525 sporting for Christmas. It is the special steel, and grey laminate variety. From what I am finding out it is a shot show special from 2007, and non cataloged? Should I be shooting this gun, or pack it away for value? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/cblood/redneck1.jpg

Frankenyota 05-24-2008, 04:23 PM Nice gun! I'd probably tuck it away and shoot it on occasion. I'd get something else for everyday shooting though.
cblood 05-24-2008, 04:48 PM Thanks for the compliment, andyeah I got a Beretta 391 for everyday shooting and hunting.
Pt_Ranger_V8 05-24-2008, 05:14 PM you should send it too me, cause it's a giant POS :flipoff2:
seriously, looks nice. I'd keep it, and shoot it occasionally. :smokin:

Yeah when shooting sporting or skeet it really sucks:grinpimp:
SCOTTS_4X 05-26-2008, 06:00 PM you are not going to find a citori that's going up in value any time in the next 100 years, I'd shoot it. they are nice guns that will shoot for a LONG time to come, just like any other quality o/u. I personally don't like browning guns but have watched my uncle shoot a citori since the first time he took me hunting 20 years ago. gun still fires and locks up just like it did back then and he doesn't take very good care of his guns either. i vote for shoot it and enjoy it. don't beat it up but definately don't make it a safe queen.

That's kinda what I have been thinking, thanks for all the advise.;)
Diesel Smoke 05-27-2008, 08:15 PM It's a gun, not a painting! Shoot it and maintain it, then when he dies pass it on to someone who will appreciate it.
SilverZuk 05-28-2008, 10:01 AM I'd rather wear out a gun before I die verse having a like new gun sitting in my collection that is worth money.
It is worth $0 to me if I can't shoot it.
Sell it and cash it out, or shoot it.
Doc Holiday13 05-28-2008, 11:54 AM i'll give you $600 for it

 I've found out that there were only 25 of these made, and yes I have put about 1000 rounds through it so far..........

you see the gun was soo bad they stopped making it, so you should consider my offer generous

ummm sure if you drive over here to pick it up, because I will not ship it :flipoff2:
SCOTTS_4X 05-30-2008, 09:16 PM I'm sure they opnly made 25 laminate stocks for a citori, the gun itself is just another 12-15 hundred dollar citori 525.
but then again I wouldn't even buy it for 600 bucks :flipoff2: I like my beretta

afroman006 06-02-2008, 10:33 AM That finish is unusual, any chance we could get some pics of it in sunlight? I dig it, and I'm not into O/U's (at least shooting them).

Is it alright if my grandfather picks it up for me? He lives very close to you
