Ok here we go. I have a sweet panel from 12 volt guy. It has a push button start in it. The entire wiring harness was stripped from the veh and i used a painless wiring harness instead. I hooked the stand alone ignition to the ignition switch, which is already wired to the push button start. Then i hooked the starter wire from the fuse box to the single open spot on the push button. When i push the button the starter turns over and then doesnt stop, till the battery dies or i pull the master kill switch. What is wrong? Do i need a relay for the starter? The thing is finally ready to start, just this standing in my way!

you either have the starer or switch wired wrong.
relays only stop the switch from having to hold the current.
That starter switch will hold 30 amps easy.
I would double check the wiring.
looks like when the solenoid kicks, it loops power back on it self keeping the starter running till you cut power.
Also could be the starter
i had a remand started that would stick.
I beat on it, tore it apart, re wired it.
Then i bought another one and problem solved.
So check you wiring first.
No need for a relay.
Just some heavy gauge wire for that switch.
