And yes I searched! But have a simple question----will I lose width by going to the Ford outers, with chevy knuckles? Anyway to gain a couple inches without going to eight lug?

Not so's you'd notice, the Ford and Chevy outers are very close in width, as are the eight-lug hubs, the only way to gain width is to chop down a wider axle, use wheels with less backspacing or use....ugh, yuk.....wheel spacers...yuk.

Most 15" eight lug wheels have very little back spacing, that may be why the same axle with the same size wheels and tires may look wider on eight lug than six of five.

I just finished the swap. Its around 61-63 ish havent measured. If you do not have the rotors and hubs yet. Napa has a hub and rotor combo which is $33Just search the napa site under 79 Ford f-100 brakes.. Its a killer deal. Good Luck I have all the parts #s if you need them. RK
