: Scout D44 vs Toy mini, whats wider ? MuddMachine 07-19-2002, 06:00 PM Could pick up this diff really cheap if i want it but i dont want a D44 up front. So i'd like to know how wide these diffs are, like i said, a scout 44 rear and a toy mini front. This D44 has a Detroit and 4.88:1 gear in it, can i get the same gear for a toy, i assume i would be able to. D44 balljoints MIGHT not stand up to superbirfs but they dont stand up to ctm's either. honestly how often do you think that you will brake 44 joints anyway?
