Only way my front 406 axle might fit is to push it that far forward (and ditch front X-member). Planning on the equivalent of approx 6" susp lift, 1-2" body, and possibly narrowing the front some (running the 42 ROKS I already have). Looking for pics of those that have moved the front axle that far forward to see how much I'm going to have to hack off.

On my bronco it might have been beneficial to move the engine back a few inches. The oil pan clears on a 302 but not by much and I ended up cutting all the trans tunnel out of the floor anyway. It would be a good excuse for new motor mounts. I didn't measure how far forward my front is but here is a before and after. It's got to be close to 16" forward. It is 115" now.

Here is a thrown together build-up. I can't wait to see the 406's going in. Make sure you take a bunch of pictures.
