I just did a spring over on my 1994 Yj, I got some 3 1/2 inch springs that are about 5 yrs old from a friend of mine , They were on his jeep at the time i got them , His jeep sat nice and level. Question is, Now that they are on mine , It is sitting about 2 or 3 inches lower in the rear.. Why ???? I havent been wheelin with it yet , and it still is this way... A friend of mine had the same problem with his jeep about a year ago.. Thanks for any advise

Could it be possible that your Jeep weighs more than his? Is it possible that after 5 years of use they could just be worn out?

Or you problem could be like mine, carrying around a spare tire of my own.. :-)

Actually , I'm not carring a spare as of now , , and I'm sure his jeep weighs more than mone , He actually carries a big tool box in the back , and has a hard top on it to , I have the soft top , so i think mine weighs lass.. Thanks for the reply

I think TPI was talking about the weight under his belt...hehehe

Try putting the front springs in the rear...maybe you mixed them up....not that it should make a difference.

Alot of variables come into play ie...fuel tank size difference, hardtop & spare & tool box flattened them out.....??

I Was just sitting on the toilet thinking ,(thats where i do my best work). Th ejeep that i got my springs from has a 6 cyl. in it, Mine has a 4 cyl. in it , So I'm guessing this could be the difference ?.. Any opinions ?

They are 5 years old. Its life. Get new springs. If I had a set of springs that would last me 1 year I would be stoked
