Ok , I know the best way to go , would be to go with the atlas , But , Is the Tera Low any good ? I have the NP231 as of now , and when i go try to rock cralwing , i wind up burning up my clutch.. Oh yeah , I only have a four banger , with 456 gears, Yeah yeah , I should have either replaced the motor , or got lower gears, but i wasnt planning on running 35 inch tires, But as we all know , this jeep thing is very addictive, and i an addict now..I'm locked front and rear , and i dont want to replace the gears , so to save some money , would it be wise to go with the Tear low? or should i wait about a year and go with the Atlas? Also , would it be a huge difference in the gear reduction in the Tera low ? And how about the Atlas , is it geared really low ? Or do i have to re- gear my jeep again to make a difference ... Thanks for any help.. Which Atlas should i use , and is there a difference ?

how about starting with "atlas" and "tera", maybe throw in "better" for good measure.

spend 5 minutes putting ideas in the search engine rather than typing up a new post... you'll be amazed at what you can come up with?

where are the smart azzez who come along and search up the good topics and rip on the people that are too lazy to try it for themselves? quiet night.

Hey Johnny J
I finally got both of my baby girls to sleep , and i went back in and got to do a search.. And i Actually found a couple of post that pretained to what i was looking for... Guess I will save for the Atlas, Thanks for the advise , But sometimes its just hard to find the time to do the searches when you have two sleep little girls.

do ya have a sye?? Did ya put in the 2-lo shifter??
Are you going to do those?? It's about $800 or so differance between the atlas and all the mods for the 231.(Thats if you or someone you know installs that stuff in the 231) I did all that to my 231 it works fine(so far) You can get the twin stick for the Atlas
Try search'en see what you find

Tera-Lo $995 + SYE ~$350 + 2-Lo $250 = $1595. Plus while you're in there you might as well upgrade to the bigger chain - I think that's about $250. You're near the price of an Atlas. Just buy the Atlas.

I'll second that for Steve N. He gave me a great price on my Atlas. Product knowledge and customer service are top notch as well.

Steve....thats a million dollar plug....you and Jim can share duties.

What about a Klune instead? I don't have a need for an Atlas, especially when compared to a Klune and 231 with a couple of mods.

Steve you got deals on Klunes too???

Alright Kamicocky I'll answer your question. I got the Teralow its not crap but the Atlas is way better. I bought the Teralow from Steve I think it took a day or two to get there. After getting it I regret it and wish I had got the Atlas you probably will too. Gearing is like clearance 9 times out of 10 you fight for every little bit. You won't find anybody who can beat Steve's prices on an Atlas or understanding of how it works and why you would want it. Just like what withamc was saying you can get a superduper 231 or you can buy an Atlas for almost the same price. Next time Search though chunkybutt.
