Zstrange, yeah, there are actually quite a few of us SJ'ers around town who not only wheel together, but get together at each others houses and work on each others rigs. Myself and a few others are loosely organizing the Atlanta Chapter of Full Size Jeeps. Shoot me an email and I can show some pics of full-size jeeps 4wheeling.....nothing like being off-road with ac, tons of storage, comfy leather seats, and a growling v8 awaiting command!

As for mods, I have done (and plan to finish) a few things:
Rebuilt 360
4bbl aluminum intake
600cfm 4bbl edelbrock
DUI Dizzy High Output Electronic Ignition
Rebuilt Tranny with Transgo Stage 1 shift kit
Hand-built custom torque converter
Bendix hi-po brakes
(dual-diaphragm brake booster coming soon)
Everything under the hood is mostly new.

Upcoming things (after we close on our new house):
Rusty's 4" lift (full)
Dropped pitman arm
Custom Roof Rack built for FSJ's (over 400lbs capacity, through factory holes)
32x11.5 tires
Entire new ac system
New leather & modern carpet
New exhaust system
and too many other mods to mention.

If you are interested in more mods, or just shooting the breeze, shoot me an email at grand_wagoneer@lycos.com

ps, I can also tell you some places I have arranged discounts for jeep parts.

I've got one, love it to death. Although it may be the death of me. Mine is mildly modded- chopped wheel wells, 35's, 4 inch lift and a bunch of engine and interior mods. I am getting my grubby paws on a Cherokee that I am going to go a bit more extreme with though. Check out the IFSJA. I see that a few of my friends from there have already posted the address. There are quite a few of the highly modded ones on there, you just have to keep an eye out for them or post and ask about them. You won't get flamed for your questions!

There are some SJ's at that site. The ifsja site is generally more stock/restoration/maintenance related questions, but there are some guys there that have built good FSJ's.

I'm currently working on 3/4 ton axles and 37's for my wagoneer.
