Huh?? What's the point. I see no axle questions, no comments on springs, and zero queries about motors.

Because after listening to the 8274 chant, I went and bought one...

I figure with "good cable, rebuilt motor, new solenoids" it can't be all that bad

they're out there... I found an ad for one listed at $500... was only 6 months old. I was an hour late. :(

It'll work fine. I bought mine for $40, its about 20 yrs old and works perfect. I love this winch.
