: getting an 89' F250/460 w c-6 auto for $500 bucks!
85RunnerEFI 05-26-2008, 11:11 PM So I was wondering what kind of gas milage (has 3" single exhaust), and what kinda wheelin capabilities? I think it has 35"s on her and a lift (not sure how much). I've wanted this truck for a while, and now it's affordable!:smokin:

if u wanna know how it is wheelin, ur asking in the wrong spot. and MPG? LOL
but seriously, not bad and bad.
mikevyota 05-27-2008, 04:56 PM Gas mileage:lmao:!!! About 10mpg, if you keep your foot out of it. My old 89' F350 got 9 empty and 5-6 towing. Lots of power, but mileage was not it's strong suit.
Wheeling? Anywhere the motherfucker will fit!!!:mr-t:

You must be smoking the cawk. My 78 will go wherever it'll fit.

I bet I could back over a yota without even giving it any gas.
82F100SWB 05-28-2008, 12:25 PM Like everyone else said, gas mileage is CRAP, just being a 460 makes it bad, but, the fuellies seem to be worse... LOL Don't expect to break 10 by much. Back when my truck was stock and a DD, it ran 11.5 or so back and forth to work(mostly highway) and dedicated highway with a 55mph criuse, 15 was possible, but if you looked at the pedal the wrong way, well... LOL
As for it having 35's on it, it doesn't need much lift at all for that, even with fully bagged front springs(3/4" off the bump stops at rest,) my diesel cleared 'em just fine with a 2" bl.
Optikal illushun 05-28-2008, 12:26 PM is it trashed yet?

Who me?
Naw, it's been down because of money. But it's good to go again.
My 88 wasn't so lucky
IROK Cherokee 05-29-2008, 09:40 PM My fuelie 460 will get 8 towing......downhill......with a tail wind........in neutral....
460's will not get milage, it's not in their vocabulary.
NetBSD 05-29-2008, 10:03 PM if you have to ask about the mileage on a 460 you might aswell sell the 460 to me and ill give ya a nice little 2.9L :flipoff2:
svt150j49 05-29-2008, 10:26 PM Our 90 F250 Fuelie got 8. No matter how you drove it.
just4cuz 05-30-2008, 07:14 PM For 500 bucks who cares about mileage? It won't be your daily driver I hope.
Like everybody says, it will go anywhere it fits with little complaint. The only better setup would be a diesel in my opinion, even with the cost of fuel.
