Some piece of shit cut through 2 big cable locks to get my Specialized P3 from Tinsel Town theater in Chico last night. I will link a pic tomorrow. If the local guys could keep an eye out, it is a 2001 Specialized P3, basicaly a hardtail built like a downhill bike.

The frame is black with red stickers, it has a very distict boxed down tube. It has red Marzochi front forks, a front tire with a faded red sidewall, dirt jumping rims, mr dirt chain guide, raceface cranks, and shimono XT 9 speed shifter. It has been ridden hard, brand new seat though.

It doesn't look like a regular mountain bike someone would ride around town, looks real burly and has a steep frame geometry. Thanks for keeping an eye out. If you see someone on it or see it for sale call me 831 588 4550

I just almost chased a guy down. The frame is what you described, but it had red rims. Dunno what a Specialized P3 looks like though. :(

here are some pics of a P3, the seat on mine was black and grey though and brand new. The pedals were aluminum black Kona pedals. The rims were the ones in the picture and the front tires sidewall was faded red. Mine also had black grips. The seat stem on mine was cut so the seat is as low as it goes and cant be raised. There is a sticker on the the seat tube that says Santa Cruz Cycle Works. There are a few other stickers on it and a Jack Daniels patch. Looks like it has been riden hard, far from new.

I have been cruising the tweaker spots (1 mile, downtown, skatepark) with no luck and I haven't seen anything on craigslist. Thanks to those keeping there eyes out.
