: 1991 ford F-250 7.3 (what axles, gears and tranfer case)

i can save this from the crusher within the next couple of hours? Would it be a good base for a full size trail rig; yes it runs?

1991 F250 - x forestry truck
8 lug fr/rr
7.3 deisel
4 speed
transfer case?
long bed

dana 50 TTB front sterling rear.... trans should be a 5 speed in 91.. the 5 speed is a ZF, good trans.. t-case should be a BW 13-56 decent case... if you get it cheap, drop a 86-91 Dana 60 in the front from a f-350 it bolts in.. cut the fenders and run some 38's till the body self clearances...

No! Doubler or Klune-v or Black Box or new t-case.

Do the axles have tags? If so read the ratio or see how many turns of a wheel to one turn of the driveshaft/yoke.

Probably 3.55's or 4.11's. 2.72:1 on the BW I think

Close enough, the BW T-case is actually 2.74 low range. Save it from the crusher!
