i have a 86 zuki ,,i put a 4.3,th350,208 and yota axles in it. i just am not happy. im keeping the 4.3...but adding a yota tcase instead of the 208. the yota axles are really worn out. i was thinking of putting a fullsize 10 bolt in the rear, and a fullsize d44 in the front and running coil springs at all 4 corners. any one have pics of a zuki with fullsize axles?

Are you unhappy with the axles? How wide are you wanting to go?

What happened to the axles? I was under the impression that the Toy's were strong enough to handle V-8 power in a zuk. Or is it just you want a wider trac? There are some waggy dana 44's for sale in the classifieds.

I've never seen fullwidth under a sammi but I was actually thinking about it. I've got D44's and I love the added width but I'm not sure if full width would be that great for the wheelin I do.
It sure would be unique if yyou were wider than long though

IMO having axles that size kinda kills what the whole point of a zuk is ; a light, narrow, well balenced 4x4. Again JMO but if you go and put full size axles on it you loose alot of the zuks advantages. You might as well just get a jeep.

yup same deal with my last toyota ,4.3, fullsize gear and all the probs asociated with them.I ended up with a 4500lb to and wondered why it wasnt doing as well as I had hoped.IT was too wide to get through the trees and tight trails I usually did great in,it was too heavy for the sand I usually just floated over and it sat down quicker in the mud and it drank gas like crazy.plus all those good to parts were not needed now....any way I have a sami with toyota stuff under neath ,just enough to make it pretty tough and could not be happier..the end...but hey this is America and If a man wants to change his name to muhammad ali, then by god change your name...but I am gonna call him clay.....

ya,,,but these toy axles were wore out when i got them. i have everything to build a d44 and a 10 bolt,,plus i have the axles as well.it would cost some serious $$ to build 2 yota axles. the axles came from a 80 model yota truck. im guessing they have 4.10s?

cj 7 rear springs (2"") work pretty well up front , seem to hold up pretty well

Actually any year CJ will work and you want the front not the rear. The fronts are maybe 2" shorter then YJ's and they are only 2" wide vs rear CJ's that are 2.5" wide and YJ's are 2.5"'s wide as well.
For YJ's use the front in the front and a 5 leaf rear in the rear.

10 bolt is weaker than the toyota rear. At least find a 12 bolt.
