Master-rebuild kit came w/shims, which I prefer over the crush-sleeve...

Does anyone know if the pinion collar is available?
It would be great, If I could simply order the collar and do the install another weekend :rolleyes:

another question:
If my pinion doesn't have a collar machined into the pinon, does that make it a crush-sleeve only pinion?

Give Kurt at cruiseroutfitters a call. As far as I remember, he was the only commercial supplier selling a solid spacer for the aftermarket cruiser gears. He did a production run at a local machine shop, but that was nearly a year ago. Don't know if they are still available...

I'm in the same boat. I'm ordering up another set of 4.88s and will probably give Kurt a call on monday to see if the solid spacer is still available. If not, I think our next option is to use the crush sleeve or have a local machine shop make one up.
