I have to change my axle seals and was wondering about a newer style bearing to use in place of the roller bearing w/seal on the flange side. I have Moser 35 spline large bearing axle

If the seal goes between the flange and the bearing, would that not mean that you gotta pull the seal every time you pull the axles, as the bearings are pressed onto the axle.
I question how you would even install such a seal.

3rd try for today.
These bearings/seals almost always leak. I added an inner seal that seals the gear oil from the bearings. Lube the bearings with grease. The seal rides on the inside of the bearing retainer ring. 35 spline dutchman shafts. seal:

Aggro nice find, hopefully I can locate some for my 31 spliners

they are the same. 31 and 35 spline use the same bearings, retaining ring. Get the same seal, pop it in and you're good to go.

Ok,Seals against the retainer, got it (sometimes I really can read)
I didn't know that the 35s used the same A20 taper bearing. Do happen to know a part number or application for the seal?

So 31 & 35 spline axles have the same OD at the bearing??
I was under the impression that the 35 spliners were 'bigger' all around.

Nope, just out towards the center of the axle- the oem's taper down to 31 spline, 35 spline's just stay large. Not to mention aftermarket shafts are usually alloy which is roughly 30% stronger than an oem axle material.

No, it seals on the axleshaft, right next to the retainer.

Yep, same set-A20. Seal part number is national 51098, just like seen in the pic.
