Fluff's Mom

I just wanted to get on the SOAP BOX for a minute. Saturday was a HIT. Sunday was GOD!!! Those of you that are Mad over Sunday, GET A LIFE!!:D If you are a fan of any sport, you would know that the weather of any event comes with the territory. NOW, The Kazar's have put ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY INTO THE PREPARATION OF THE EVENT SO WE COULD ALL HAVE A GOOD TIME. WE NEED TO THANK THEM !!!! Money was given back to those who showed up Sunday. It costed $25,000+ to get the courses prepared for competition, over $1,500 for Signs (which I must say alot were stolen) not counting the gas to put the signs up. And what about the places where you went to GO TO THE BATHROOM, those costed money. Who bush hogged the feilds, where we could have a good place to park, who picked up COW Piles so you wouldn't step in S*^T. We need to thank Kenny & his wife for everything that they have done so the FANS could come out and have a SAFE, CLEAN, A PLACE WHERE OUR KIDS COULD COME, and have a good time.
Anyway, I can't wait till the next event at Kazar's. And yes, I will pay $20 per person per day because it is the BEST venue that I have been to, and Yes, I am a LOCAL

Only noticed 1 person complaining and the rest said it was an awesome event.
It sounded like saturday was huge hit and if mother nature didn't intervine sunday would have been also.
You can't make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time.:shaking:
First of all, I just want to say I wasn't there, so take this for what it's worth. But, I've been directly involved in competition motorsports for 20+ years. And standard procedure for a "special" event that has been rained out prior to the start of the event is to provide a full admissions refund or the option of a raincheck for the reschedule date. If no reschedule date is planned, then it's full refund. No if's, and's, or but's.
If it's rained out mid-event, then you typically would not receive a refund, but again MAY be offered a raincheck for a later date (depending on circumstances).
Now, the local circle tracks may offer a different deal, but these are places that operate every week. I find it hard to believe they wouldn't at least offer a raincheck if the race were rained out prior to competition.
As for the expense, promoting isn't cheap. I personally lost $7,000 on a night when I handed out refunds to more than 1,200 spectators due to an equipment malfunction that altered the quality of the event (one lane of our timing system didn't work, so our side-by-side mud drags became solo passes). And it hurt. Put me out of business to be blunt. But, it's one of those things that happens. BTW, rain insurance can be purchased, just FYI.
Bottom line: the hosts here should have known better IMO. Thankfully, they've been corrected, but sadly too late for some folks. So, yes appreciation for all that they did, and special props to WeRock for doing all they can to correct the situation, but the anger expressed for the initial mishandling of the refunds DOES appear warranted.

Mountain Extreme RockCrawling looks to be the next regional sanction that will be working with W.E.ROCK. Details to come but we're excited that such a great fan-base will have a series of their own!

I had a blast. Everything was great. Mother nature will not always cooperate.
I think it was great that a refund was given.
I have no opinion as to whether it was due or not. I have been to events that gave a refund and events that did not. I have also not gone to events because of weather.
Keep up the good work. Hope to compete in Dayton again next year.

This was the best rock crawling event I have been to hands down. The crowd was insane and the most people I have seen at a comp in the lst 4 years. Many thanks to the land owners and WeRock for making this event happen. I can't wait to go back there!

M.E.Rock will be the name of the series. The events should start sometime before the Grands. There will be announcements coming soon.
