hummer rims are DOT approved stock. The Run flats make them a beadlock, with out them, they are a heavy split rim. Recentering them is done for the main reason that the backspacing is to great to fit on some axles, and to make them fit on different lug patterns.

8 Bolt rims are for Bias Bly (Max 30psi).

12 Bolt rims are for Radials.

8 bolt bias ply use magnesium inserts
12 bolt use rubber dougnut inserts.

without runflat there is no beadlock.just split rim.
8lug chevy 44/60 on jeep requires a 2"spacer or recenter to mount up.

12 Bolt rims are for Bias Ply.

wrong........

8 bolts were for the Bias and 12 bolt for the Radial, radial needed more clamping force for the increased pressure needed for the tires.

Thanks, I fixed it. Can you remove my quote so that It doesn't come up that way on searches?

I think my coffee had just warn off.... (or I'm really starting to show signs of age).
