: help, no spark

jeep won't start, its a '79 304, i've changed coil, plugs, wires, pickup coil, cap, rotor, and the ignition control module has been checked, and the fuses are all good, i'm not gettin any spark from the coil either, i don't know what the hell else to check, anyone have any ideas?

Do you have power to the ignition module?

If so, are the conections good everywhere?

Look at the distributor with the cap off and crank the engine. Does the rotor turn? I doubt that you have a broken shaft in your distributor but its possible.

My '76 CJ7 with a 304 used to do this. Pull apart the square contector at the distributor and clean the contacts. Mine I'd unplug and plug the contector a couple of times and it'd be good for a couple of weeks.

should a test light light up if i connect it to the wire going from my ignition control module to the distributor? the one that sends the signal?
