I was recently given these two shotguns by my girlfriend's Mom, and I would like a little more info on them.

One is a Western Field M550AB with a 26" barrel with C-Lect-Choke, serial # G3561XX. From my research this is a Mossberg 500 rebadged and sold by Montgomery Ward?

The other is a Remington 1100 in pretty decent shape. Serial # M3487XXV

I'm curious how old these guns are, and if the remington is worth anything. If the western field is just you standard mossberg, I'll probably cut it down for a home defense gun

The Remington is a nice gun. Used to have one. It a goose knockin sonuva bitch. My buddies used to give me shit for aiming at the milamores, but I'd still reach them.

late 50's early 60's would be pretty close...
