Quick question. Just added Summit brand ignition to my 1.3, new wires and a coil. Works great going down the road, but when it is idling, it seems to load up, so when you step on the gas, it will sputter and back fire and almost want to die, then be hard to start if it does die. Just wondering if i need to advance my timing or maybe adjust the carb (weber). any ideas?

Check to see if the vacuum advance that connects to the distributor is off/loose. Also check to see if the adapter plates for the Weber are loose.
