so from my last post i pick up an truck with a built 468 motor. Now i hate carbs. i did not grow up with them . i dont know how to work with them. for off roading not happy with them. I want to do a fuel injection kit to it. i feel the place i go and what i do with the truck it would be best..also i want to h some how have it tune to save gas and another for hourse power
what kits should i go with ?
looking around on 4wheel parts and cant really find anything.
next question ...how should i run the exhust. stright back, 2 into 1 back out into a dual set up , H pipe set up...i do want to have torque but still want hourse power for some speed..

As far as the exhaust goes, how about easy packaging....2 into 1 (3" system).....now this will of course change if you are racing, mud drags, and such as we have no clue what your specifics are. We just know it's a truck that you offroad with.....
Fuel injection, you could Pirate (hehehe) a complete GM 454 TBI system/ECM and mod it for your motors needs.....increase injector size, increase fuel press, and have a chip burned. that would be on the relative cheap way to do it. There are numerous aftermarket systems that could set you up, a couple are on this board but I have not had coffee yet so i can't think of them at the moment.
I am sure Bill usn1<<< I think that is his title....will show up here, he has a pretty good knowledge base on this topic. I will "search"<<<there's a novel idea, for his website link and edit this post if/when I find it. In the meantime hangon, and I am sure some info will come.

i would say i would use this truck more for off roading and or towing. (i mean a blazer after i swap everything over) but at the same time i to be able to get up and go on the freeway. thats why i was looking for some type of system where i could have different set up. one for towing, off roading, gas saving, and then full on haul ass mode. i was looking at the edelbrock 35500
Edelbrock Performer RPM Pro-Flo2 EFI Systems. i think it is what i was looking for until this link came around
http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/ and saw this baby

how ever i dont think it is big enough for the block i have so i am looking more into it. that same site does have way more items to look at and for way less.. thanks for the links man (cj8scrambld)

Oh, I should have mentioned.....I'd lean more towards a system that is primarily GM based or a modded GM TBI/TPI whichever you decide <<<< there is something to be said about finding parts at any NAPA or any old parts house to replace a bad sensor or the likes. Try being stranded and needing some Edelbrock part....Now!

So i think i am going to go with a tbi set up.Looks to be cheaper and i was asking around and was informed that mpfi helps more for long drive and or cruseing. plus it is like another grand. but like isaid still might try for a TPI. still have not heard back from thedealers yet
