Hey fellas,

Due to circumstances I must part with my project CJ7. I have had it for 6 years, wheel'd it very little, and put parts on it every chance I could afford. Just about all the mods are "off the shelf" except for the axle set which Currie put together. Heres is the list of what I can remember.

The engine is the standard 4.2L with the Mopar Multi Point Injection kit. The computer that came with the M.P.I. kit was ditched and upgraded to a "Performance" one from Mopar. It runs smooth...No problems. A high volume Oil Pump was installed and while the pan was off I changed the main seals and used the "blue" re-usable rubber oil pan gasket. Up front I changed the timing set with Mopar's roller kit. A Jeep valve cover was bolted on. A MSD Off-Road Ignition Box along with their Adjustable Timing Control Module was wired in. The story with the computer and timing control is that Mopar runs the M.P.I. kit lean. The kit is based on parts from the later 4.0L H.O. (1995) and just runs lean on the 4.2's. These are the first steps I took to control the "ping" and they have worked well. My next step for more muscle would be an injector set. A trip to Hesco's website will show all the possiblities.

http://www.hesco.us/shop.asp?action=cat&catID=7577

I received the CA. Smog Sticker for M.P.I. mods and it passes easy everytime. A new flowmaster and hi-flow cat are underneath.

Plans to install a winch and a mess of lights had me start with a Wrangler NW dual battery tray with 2 Orbit Deep Cycle gel batteries. All new heavy gauge cable and a battery isolator with a switch to combine/isolate the two batteries. I rebuilt the steering column with factory parts and replaced the column mounted ignition switch. The starter and alternator are also new.

The trans is the factory 3 spd. Automatic. No problems at all. I rebuilt the C300 transfer case with new bearings and seals after the intermediate shaft seal went bad. Royal Purple inside, No problems since.

Axles...This is the big money I spent on my Jeep.
The front: Currie 9", ARB w/ 4.11's in their 9+ case. Currie performance, 31 spline inner and outer axles w/ spicer joints. Housing is skid plated. Currie Dana 44 inners. Reid Racing Chevy armless heavy duty flat top Dana 44 outers. WFO high steer arms and rod/end kit. Warn hub kit. Rotors were turned, new bearings, seals, and studs.

The rear: Currie Hi-Pinion 9", ARB w/ 4.11's. Currie performance, 31 spline axles. Housing is Extra Heavy Duty and skid plated. Explorer Disc Brakes w/ Lokar cable kit. Companion Flange.
New spicer u-joints for front and rear drive shafts.

Suspension Front: M.O.R.E. Shackle reversal kit w/ buggy springs. Grease-able 1" lift shackle kit. 2 1/2" wide (Wrangler width) Skyjacker 4" lift leafs.
Rear: Skyjacker 4" lift leafs, Con-Ferr lift shackle with grease-able bolts, Currie slick rock cro-mo hangers.
New Currie Heavy Duty Spring Plates and u-bolts front and back. Energy bushings all the way around too. 1" Daystar body lift.

Everything else: 33" x 12.5" BFG All Terrain T/A's on 15" Pro Comp rock crawlers. Currie Rock Crawler II front bumper w/ hooks. Homemade rear bumper with shakles and hidden hitch under. Alpine C.D. with Alpine 6" speaks in the dash. Tuffy boxes on rear wheel wells. They are empty but will hold a 6"x9". Hand Throttle on dash. M.O.R.E. Heavy Duty Steering Box Brace and Bracket. Rebuilt steering box. PSC remote reservoir and pump can. Aluminum radiator overflow. Flex-a-lite dual radiator fan. Silstar Headlights. L.E.D. front turn and tail signals.

As I said up top, this is a project in its current state, but does not need much to get it going. What it needs:

1. Steering shaft. The hi-steer set up required the M.O.R.E. h.d. bracket which moves the steering box forward about and inch. For this a new (longer w/ stronger joints) steering shaft was going to be ordered. Hasnt happened yet. I have the Flaming River part #...about $250. New power steering hoses need to be made for the J.I.C. fittings that PSC uses on their systems.
2. Front grill/radiator. The Flex-A-Lites were way to close to the waterpump pulley, so I removed the grill with hopes to move the radiator and fans forward. Removal was as far as I got. No problems ($) here, just a little engineering.
3. Alternator. I have a new large bodied (high output) Delco alternator that I was in the middle of making a bracket for. This needs to be completed or the smaller (original) alternator needs to re-installed.
4. Front driveshaft will need to be lengthened for lift.
5. ARB switches need to be installed on dash and the Solenoid wired for the front axle. The rear is already wired/works.

Thats about it. All 5 of these could be done in a weekend. Most of the mods are less than 3 years old with the majority less than 1. Less than 500 miles on the rearend and the front was just built=0 miles. I have every receipt from 1986 till present including mine. About 6 or 8 manuals, Jeep factory shop repair manuals, etc. too. and a handfull of extra parts. I am not sure what this thing would be valued at, but I do know what I need to get out of it. I am looking for $7000. Sorry, but I cant use any trades. I am located in Long Beach, Ca. I can have AAA deliver within 100 miles of L.B. if it makes it easier. Please call with any questions (562) 746-4060. Thanks for your interest and for reading through all of this:D. Jay

Ill send pics through in a minute...

Heres a few more pics and a few more items I forgot to mention. This Jeep is a Renegade Model and has the factory upgrades that went with it like the Tilt Steering Column and large 22gal. fuel tank. I installed Earl's/Pro Comp extended length braided stainless lines to go with the new Master Cylinder and Vacuum Booster. The inside of the top has been shot with Zolatone for a clean look. As you can see in some of the pics, much of the hardware holding it together was upgraded to stainless or grade 8. Thanks again, Jay
