Was thinking of lifting my F250 powerstroke and was wondering what would be the best lift and tire size to run to still be able to tow, I mean i'm not towing everyday but once in a while. What lift height is the best i dont want to go crazy huge you know just something that looks real good and still rides pretty good. What do you guys think.

I lifted mine 2.5" it fit 35's... a little bumper timming... I proably WOULDN'T do it again... the TTB sucks with bigger tires.

TexasTeaDrinker is right on... the best lift to do is to buy a D60 front as it'll bolt right in. Then no need for stupid pivot drop brackets, just get some lift springs, hell even an add-a-leaf if you're gonna tow. There ya go:

No, forget the lift springs, do a shackle reversal for a better ride and lift at the same time, and eliminate the track bar 'cause you'll be getting rid of the stupid and unstable front A-frame shackles, something like this but build your own for a fraction of the cost:

I know everybody always screams SAS, etc, but *if* you find a D60 front for $1k already geared properly and did your own shackle flip you'd end up with a much stronger rig for not that much more than a quality D50 TTB lift.

edit: if this interests you pm me and I can give you lots of pics of my "homemade" shackle reversal like the ORU kit, should cost you less than $100
