Learn to search (hint: under my name) or learn to tune a carb...

My best luck with Holleys is new out of the box. Avenger is a great carb-unmolested.

it might help if you told us what kind of problems you were having... like "the engine dies when the nose is pointed up hill" or "when i step on it, it pops and dies" or " It runs so rich my eyes bleed"
hints like this help us diagnose things.

The only current advice I can offer (until you post more info):
Check the part number up on the front part of the choke tower.
If it ends in a -1, call up Holley and see about getting a free, new and improved replacement.

My first TA carb that I bought in 2001 sucked balls.
The second one I got (free of charge from Holley) works great. No complaints either on or off road.

i have had a TA for a few years. I just recently (should have done a long time ago) dropped the front and rear jets by 3 sizes. Plugs look a lot better now, but could probably drop the primaries 1 or 2 more.
