I am running a 1350 yoke on my dana 60. my question is, it has the standard strap and bolt retainers in it, can I drill the bolt holes out bigger to run the u-bolt style retainers? or is there more machining that has to be done?

If it's like the 14FF yoke, you have to drill the holes off center to get the u-bolts to fit. Then you have to machine the bosses down so the ubolts will clamp the ujoint properly. It's not impossible to do without a mill but it would be better. Ive done it in a drill press using a modified drill bit like an end mill to drill the bolt holes, and then ground the bosses down with a side grinder.

also, I just put a np205 t-case in my truck. when I checked the fluid I found that it had atf in it?? I thought it was suposed to have 80-90 gear lube in it?? should I drain it and put gear lube in it??

if it truly is an NP205, there should not be ATF in it.

Check your gear box to be for certain, and then drain and refill.

1980+ GM 205's were spec'd with ATF for fuel economy purposes. I'd run 80-90w for what we've seen with wear.

specd with atf , 80-90, and 10-30 depending on when and what it was installed in.

when I first got mine truck, the oring on the adapter / coupler / output shaft was bad and atf leaked in. might be contributing so check that too.
