That is pretty old, look at the cork used for seals and the type of box that it came in.

Actually they might also be Rawhide seals
A lot of old stuff had leather grease seals
CR (seals) actually stands for Chicago Rawhide............ <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

looks old military to me. ever see a mil spec sm420?? they have joints like that on them.
