Are bbc and sbc acc. brackets the same, i.e. interchangeable. I know that there are differences in the alternator brackets on the sbc's, but I have just started tooling around with bbc's so there is the learning curve.

I don't believe they are interchangeable. There are so many differences in the block designs that I think it would be highly unlikely that anything will swap between the two.
