if its going to break an d cause your more problems then why weld it?
i welded mine and it never broke , just make sure you dont apply too much too fast give each weld time to cool.

Just generously lay down beads between the ring gear and the pinion gear, that way the world will be safe from another D35 POS:flipoff2:

I saw a guy break his carrier, on the street, 33"s and four cylinder, just a few minutes after welding his D35.

It just ain't worth it.

Yeah Monkeyboy welded his but it is sitting in the dirt next to the garage with broken welds and fragged spiders.

Welded mine months ago...no boom here. Of course those dinky little 31"s are probably helping out quite a bit...:flipoff2:

a D35 is marginal anyway, welding it cuts it's already pathetic factor of safety in half. are you driving or trailering to Attica? If you do it, and your driving it, let me know, I'm 2 hours from the Badlands, and I got 3 D35 shafts sitting in my garage, I'd love to sell them :)

Let me think for a minute:rolleyes:

Would I rather pay for a cheapo Lock Right locker now, or pay the same money(or more) for a tow bill, new axle shafts, carrier, etc...

I don't normally advocate lunch box lockers, especially for a D35, but you might be better off than welding.

Hahaha, No kidding, man that didn't take long.
Wasn't much over a week ago he said he was welding that thing up.
Hey NJcrawler, I wouldn't do it. Just my .02

Tires lifting and slipping is what keeps one single axle shaft from taking the full amount of torque. If you do it, pls don't be infront of me on the trail- and no I won't share my beer w/ you.
