hey-

DOH!!! Spilled almost 7 quarts of Valvoline Semi-synth 80w-90 (drained tranny/t'case) yesterday after work- kicked the freakin' pan crawlin' out from under the truck. Wiped up the mess with a couple of old towels, but need to get the stains out if possible.

What works best for you?

I used this stuff I got from Costco called "Oil eater" looks cheesy as hell but it takes up the grease spot like you would not believe!

Comes in a 1 gallon container with a spray bottle attached. Best if used at 100% strength. :D:D:D

A big bag of Johnny cat Kitty litter!!!!

Just dump this stuff on the floor...It will soak up the moisture, and if you rub it around with your feet, it will get the oil stains out of concrete!

Amazingly enough, spill some ATF on your stain. The detergents in the ATF will "loosen" up the gear lube enough to wipe up.

Use Floor dry, Ultra-sorb, ect. some kind of inexpensive, none scented, none deodorizing, (not cat litter) absorbent grit to soak up what the towels missed. Then scrub it with some kind of detergent. Like GloNDark I like the Oileater stuff from Costco best but the orange citrus stuff from Home Depot works good also and as a last resort I've used laundry detergent with a little water. That reminds me, the owner of the machine shop I worked at years ago made us use Tide to clean every thing including the floors.

I agree. Used some of that on my engine Saturday. Let it soak
about 10 mins. and hosed the crud right off. That stuff works great.

Tide laundry soap. Put it on thick, and scrub with a brush. It will even get out the black, used oil stains

grind kitty litter in with your foot and sweep it up ' might take several tries to get it looking good then wash with TIDE and rinse....

You dumbass!:D

Use your wife/girlfriends best tablecloth.

Cereal though, use the cat shit litter. Works great although you may develop an urge to wizz on your garage floor!

Yep! I don't know which you used - but the powdered is the bomb!
