: Why's rzeppas so bad?

Been reading up on rockwells / rzeppas on the board and every time they are mentioned they are to be "avoided if possibly" and "go for the u-joint version instead".

What makes the u-joint version so much better? -How much stronger is the u-jointed rockwell? (I mean technically and theoretically what makes the u-joint better?)

Just curious.

The only defference that I know is that the one with u joint take's more twisting before it brakes.

The repezza style rockwell shafts are cast metal, that's all. The joint itself is beefy, but the shaft material sucks. The U-joint style has a hardened shaft, so it is more desireable. Really has nothing to do with the Joint at all.
