my rear disks lock up before the fronts, this can make for some exciting down hills if your in 2 wheel drive. What do you guys do to fix this on a Sammy ?

Use an adjustable proportioning valve, or cheat and leave a lil air bubble in it.

how would you use an proportioning valve on a samurai as the master is not split front to back ?

Actually the later models (88.5 and up i believe) have a 2 into 1 valve, same place where yours is halfway down the pass side frame rail. Find a valve from a newer one and off u go

The brake lines need to be re-routed slightly to change the master cylinder to control both front brakes together and both rear brakes together. Then put a proportioning valve on the rear line at the master cylinder and turn it down some.

There is a tech article (http://www.off-road.com/suzuki/tech/traxlines.htm) over on ORC for setting up the brakelines for rear disks.

Remove all internal components of stock valve (springs, seals, etc) and add the new one in a new place comfortable to adjust.
