Dean, (or anyone else who can help)
I picked up a saginaw pump for an early 80 GM Deisel, with Hydro boost. I just about have the bracketry completed, to bolt it up to 5.0.
But I was wondering, what do I do with the hydro boost line? It is not a high pressure fitting so I dont think I can Y it into the high pressure side.
Also does anyone know what GM vehicle could I go to for the pulley. It would need to be a serpentine 350, with a saginaw pump. Would late model Camaros, be a good candidate?
Thanks,

Lance

two options I can think of:
1) Get a different reservior
2) Put a 'T' on your steering box return line, and then connect the t'd lines to each return line on the pump.

Heya Lance, hows it going?
Sorry we couldnt get up the Con with you guys this weekend, what can I say except that I am worthless and weak.
Actually, work has been kicking my butt.

Too bad you cant make the Hammers, I was lookin forward to puttin the whoop to your Cruzah, Oh well, I guess it can wait until CalRocs

Where does the Hydro boost line, go in its normal configuration after it leaves the Hydroboost unit? Does it just go back and "Y" onto the low pressure side from the power steering unit?

You are correct sir y or t after hydro back to pump.

Lances Option 2 for starters.
My hydroboost sytem has a simple brass T inline on the returns. This may or may not be a true GM diesel pump but it turns smooth as snot. As noted before add a cooler or two and if you got a resevoir go with it too.
Got a spotter yet?

So then I can just run the hydroboost line right back into the low pressure return line somewhere ahead of the cooler(to allow more fluid to circulate through the cooler).

Ill make a decission, about the team, after this weekend.
Ill give ya a call.
