A friend of mine offered to sell me his welder. I believe it is a Century model 83160. It has very low hours. He wants C$600 is that a good price?

It's 999.00USD here:

go to KMS they used to be the local dealer of those welders.
they usually have a few used one kicking around and you can get a feel for the value
that is a hobby welder with a low duty cycle.
for $600cdn you cant really go wrong as the market here for used MIGs is brutal.
I gave up and gave Miller $3000cdn taxes in for the 251
I have seen, but never got the deal, the 200-225-250 century used for ~$1000-1200cdn and they sell fast at that price.

hey!
looks like a pretty nice welder for the price- even in U.S. dollars-
60% duty cycle is plenty for a hobby welder-

What is that like $45 US? :flipoff2: Go to his house and try it before you buy. My first welder was a $400 Century and it was a POS. At least if you lay down a few good beads you know what your getting.
