I am in the process of sticking a 454 out of a 1985 k-30 pickup into a 1974 scout and am on the hunt for some headers that will work. I found a set from patriot that were designed for a 1981 car application and I need to know if the flange to head bolt pattern is the same from these two vehicles. Anyones .02 is appreciated.

a big block chevy is a big block chevy.
patterns for exhaust are all the same.
headers may not fit, you might call your local dealer and ask if he has some trial fit headers... mine let me try out a set, made all the difference.

Yeah, but there were no big blocks in any 1981 GM CARs….truck maybe, but certainly not a car. Even the current 8.1L big block has the SAME exhaust manifolds/header to the cylinder head mounting as the first big block did in 1965.
