Is the bolt at the axle end pressed or threaded into the C-bushing mount?

I got one that badly rusted and needs replacing, I can't get it out.

neither it's just slid in then the nut on the outside of the track bar is what holds it in. There are no threads in that C-Bushing mount

Just slides in, wow, then I've got some serious rust problems. I've been soaking, heating, hammering, twisting, pressing...it hasn't budged. I'm going to have to try harder...

You've got the newer style 44 with the C-bushing mount and track bar mount cast into one piece....right?

On my older style 44, the "stud" has a nut on the backside.....I think yours might just screw into the cast piece....I can't really remember what they look like.

Since your old one is junk, try welding on a piece of steel, so you can try to turn it.

Finally got it out. That sucker didn't want to come out though, the rust sure had a good grip on it.

It is the newer style, bolt hole and mount all one piece. The bolt probably just slides out when they're not rusted as badly as this one was.

If you find that a new bolt will not fit tightly in the mount, take a look at this Track bar bolt replacement (http://home.attbi.com/~erik.marquez/trackbar/trackbar.htm) Very cost effective, and a great fix

Thanks bronco78, that's perfect! After I got the bolt out, I measured the hole and noticed that it's bigger at the front. The bolt has probably been loose before.

bolt was bending while being pressed, so I shortened it.

that last pic of the radius arm wedge with the drag link mod....

did it com like that or did you have to weld that on there?

I am doing a SAS on my exploder now and i am working on the lower track bar mount now. I had to buy new wedges from james duff and they didnt come with the track bar mount.

can I get that anywhere?
