Installed 4.88 gears and a New Bumper.
I like the new aproach angle. I used to plow the dirt with my bumper on 37"s.
Now they don't drag anymore.

Gibson 06-28-2008, 03:14 PM Those fenders look better than stock, kick ass rig, I love it.
mrboyle 06-28-2008, 05:08 PM One of the cleanest jobs I've seen in a long time.
redstang410 06-28-2008, 05:26 PM Thanks for the compliments,
I was thinking of getting Cut out flares, But I couldn't find any pictures of them installed on my model truck. I also wasn't sure if the tires would clear even with the flares. So for almost the same amount of money I was lucky enough to get a good Body and Paint guy. Used the least amount of bondo. It is shaped mostly in steel and spot welded. I still have to finish some body work and paint, but i couldn't miss the last trail ride.
Can't beat the work for a few hundred bucks.

Loki89t 06-28-2008, 08:14 PM That truck is badass, looks great with the new tires. I need to do something like that with my fenders.
Killerpee 06-28-2008, 08:32 PM Great looking truck!! Nice to see it gets used too.
Trail Mule 08-06-2008, 10:05 AM Very nice truck, where were those pictures taken.
FordFascist 08-06-2008, 10:39 AM You can't lose on 42s.
Very nice fenders.
Proeliator 08-06-2008, 10:42 AM Yup, its nice to see quality work on the fender lips.
So, those don't hit the cab mounts at stuff?
Recon 8427 08-07-2008, 03:57 AM I love it!
Small lift, big tires, hacked and shaped fenders, is the way to go. I have been working towards that with my 79 F350 standard cab.
What did you do for the front inner fenders?
big orange 11-16-2008, 11:29 AM nice where were thoes pictures taken.
redstang410 11-16-2008, 06:27 PM Thanks for the compliments, The tires are still far from the body mounts.
Though the chains want to touch the rear of the front fenders every once in a while when all flexed out. The shackle reverse puts the axle forward enough to keep it away from the body mount.
The pictures were taken here in Panama.

Somewhere near the town labeled Chiman. About 2 hours of road and 6 hours of trails, from the capital City.
However a good rainstorm and a few mudslides easily make the return trip a one to two day ordeal. Ask me how I know...:shaking:
Its Basically, the middle of nowhere.:)
BTW, the guys in the bed of the truck had to leave their FJ40 out in the middle of the jungle cause of a broken steering arm.
About 3 weeks later we went back, fixed it and drove it out.

just4cuz 12-14-2008, 05:38 PM This truck just keeps getting better! You still do the Christmas run to the remote village to drop off gifts?
redstang410 12-14-2008, 07:53 PM Yes, we still do donation runs to remote villages.
We've done 2 since November, but haven't taken my truck cause i was upgrading the front driveshaft with a one ton CV from High Angle.
Unfortunately , my driveshaft got FUBARED by the UPS guys, So Jesse is waiting to get it back and make me a new one.
Here are the links with pics to the two villages we visited.

We still have 2 more scheduled before the end of January.
This is the last event before I ordered a new front driveshaft.
