I know, I've heard it a million times "Buiness first"..BUT!!!
This weekend is Frostoberfest at the Hammerz!!!

Okay, this is where I try to make sence...
Tonight while FatKid and I are in the shop try'n to finish up on a batch of lower control arms for late model Mustangs
RING.....RING....RING....
"Hello"
"Is this Rob"
"uh huh"
"blahh blahhh blahhh"

Well it ends up that this guy is in need of 2 SCCA Ralley car cages for some new proto type cars...

FatKid and I are like....YEAH BABY!! (Ralley cars are way cool)

Anyway.... The guy needs both cars done in time for the SEMA show in Las Vegas.....

So Fatkid and I are like......FAWK!!!! (less than 2 weeks build time)

Anyway, the Question is would you...

1. Tell the guy there's no way, cause we're going wheel'n...

2. NOT go to the Hammerz...

3. Go to the Hammerz and have to BUST MAJOR ASS to get the cars built before the SEMA show..(NO sleep for the next two weeks)

Really, what would you do??

Don't think of it as "wheeling" VS "building"...

Think of it as "wheeling" VS "large crowd of people showing up at your door Saturday to kick your lily white ass".

Nuff said? Anyways, Fatkid has been talking shit to me, I gotta put him down (and that little truck too)! HeeHeeeHEEEee!

I would say #3 first, and if that don't work #2.
The hammers will be there next year. The offer for the cages to be built won't be.
Whats the possibility of the cages getting you more business so you can have more money so you can build the rig better so you can wheel harder and take more weekends off?
Fun is great, I enjoy all I can. Weigh out the option sfor the long haul though, not for the short interval.
You may kick yourself in the a$$ later if you don't do the cages now and a competitor gets those 2 as well as any business that they may drawe to the business that built them.

Work now, wheel in 2 weeks. As for rest,

Build the cages first! This could be a huge opportunity that you don't want to mess up or miss. You can always wheel some other time.

Second that!

Here is a question for you. where do you want to be in five years? Building cages for the racing circuts and wheel a sick rig all the time?

Or, building them one or two at a time at night, working fulltime and wheelin if you have time?

Somebody up there said this too. Do the work. Be clear headed enough to do it right, and on time. If you don't someone else will and the money spenders will go to the people that do the work, do it right, do it on time, and tell there friends about it.
Ask yourself, "Who is getting more work and better referals, Redline or High Angle Driveline?"

Ok, the 2 cars are the same, or different? If they are the same, then Build time will be minimal because you design/build the first, then just copy. If they are different, then suck to be you.

I've seen you build bigger shit in less time.

You've always wanted to play Junk Yard Wars. Put some barbed wire around the shop when you get back and get to work!

The cars are identical..... SO I FatKid And I can make both cages at the same time

He's gonna pull the cars from "dealer shows" one at a time for the install....

I also found out that he wants them caged, but without door bars and some of the addition'l brace'n that go's into um while on the show circuit..
He wants to bring them in once again one at a time for the complete SCCA spec. at a later date....

LESS CAGE= MORE TIME= @da HAMMERZ

A special thanks for the guys who tried to steer me in the right direction (WORK) cause that was just what I was gonna do

no work = no money = no money to fix broken parts = no wheelin = sellin your rig to pay your bills = a bullet in the head!

Hmmmmm.

I wonder if this will be clear enough....

Pick #1 or #2.

If you choose to work, #2 will be superior to #3, as you want to do a "Blueline" job...if ya know what I mean!

I agree with this statement. How often does an opportunity like this come around? If you can do both (wheel and build) then more power to you, but from a business perspective....that could lead to some major bucks.
