Big thanks to Mike Shaffer for spotting me and keeping my rig running. Without you, I really would not stand a chance. That show at the end of A4, you all know that was really Mike's doing. I just drive where he tells me to drive. Man, I love the sound of that motor.
Big, big thanks to Sean and Garrett for helping to get the car back running again after we destroyed the carrier bearing. Thanks to Josh and everyone else that took the thing back to Shaffer's on Saturday night to put the final touches on it. Thanks to Mike Moore for keeping the rig looking great and rolling right all weekend. It is really great to not have to think about it.
Thanks to Glenn Bonner and his whole Calrocs crew of judges and support folks. The event was a blast! See you guys in Coloma.

Great event, unfortunately I didn't really get to watch the promods much since I was helping out Dennis and Mike run both 35" and unlimited. Crazy bastards. I think they were regretting that decision by the end of the weekend

Kurtuleas 07-01-2008, 03:30 PM Looks like he crunched the passenger side panel.
From what I remember, I really don't think there was much damage... He did not roll it hard into the boulder.
Everyone else was coming up the hill using the line to the left in the pic, but once they got to that spot, It was a bitch going right and getting a good angle up the steep part of the climb.
Derek played it smart and actually started in reverse and BACKED up the hill to get a better angle on the steep part. The problem was the rig just could not get enough grip to push it up the climb becuase his rear tires were spinning in dirt. He kept working it on that rock, trying to get the angle and ended up like that.

OOPS!
Guess I was wrong! LOL!
Way to go Derek and Lisa (and the rest!)
Derek, how does that new set-up feel in the rocks?
The new shock valving works very well. The car feels very stable and responsive for how high it sits. It got tippy at times but I could always drive out of it. I thought about lowering the ride height before the comp but I decided to leave it alone and just learn to drive the car. It is cool that I can go from a crawling comp straight to the motocross track.
zukjunkie13 07-01-2008, 11:13 PM Thanks to everyone who helped with calrocs!
