Any of the dual voltage Multi Purpose units in stock or soon to be in stock? I need something with 120v, but would be nice to plug it into a higher voltage too. I'm thinking something like the Weldmax LC-520D.

Ezrider800 04-19-2011, 08:29 PM Does the Forcecut LP-80 that you have on clearance for $599 have a pilot arc torch? It seems like the pilot arc is the way to go. Having never owned or used a plasma cutter before I'm not sure.
Can you give a newbie a little guidance about the difference between the pilot arc and non pilot arc torches?
Thanks!

longevity-inc.com 04-20-2011, 09:09 AM The Forcecut LP-80 does not have the full pilot arc torch but it does cut great, The difference between pilot arc is that the pilot arc gives a full arc without having to touch the tip of the torch to the meal to get an arc, This also helps your consumables last longer with a more advanced and precision cut. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.
Best,

Nice but even if it is the May special I don't think I could afford it.Which is really kind of a round about way of asking if there is a May special.
longevity-inc.com 05-19-2011, 09:28 AM This is actually not a special but we were showing this unit due to the fact that it is a 3 Phase Unit and it has a cutting capacity of up to 2". You can view our product interest thread here on Pirate 4x4 if you are interested in a specific model.

bronkho31 10-24-2011, 10:37 PM Well I sent my welder in over 2 months ago.....and it should be back to me here sometime soon.....
Just goes to show when you buy cheap.....you get cheap....
BTW....the customer service is great until after the payment.....a year or so down the line....you send your machine in...and they loose it a few times.....takes them a few days to check to make sure it works properly....take a few days to get it shipped out.....Gotta love great customer service....as I thought I was getting when I bought my unit 3 years ago.... They really "stand" behind the 5 year warranty.....by stand I mean they stand there and watch your unit test itself....
By the time my warranty runs out I will have had my welder for about 4 of the 5 years I paid for....the rest was in transit and "lost" in their processing.....
I could have paid a lot more for a lincoln/hobart/miller and still been ahead after paying for shipping back and forth, shipping on the broken parts, time I spend repairing it myself, and the consumables are even cheap...go figure...
longevity-inc.com 10-25-2011, 09:48 AM Hello bronkho31,

Hi Justin,
I checked with Simon and he mentioned that he offered you an upgrade at the difference of the cost of the two machines 200p to newer model 200pi. As far as a refund, our website clearly states there are no refunds past 30days so 3 years of ownership is definitely out of the question. The cost between the IGBT and MOSFET units is significantly different. Adding the depreciation value of your machine since 2009, he stated you were not interested in paying the difference for a new model with a new warranty. Shipping was also delayed because you chose to have UPS pickup the shipment vs FedEx our common and frequent carrier. I apologize for that as well.
We no longer produce the MOSFET style multiprocess machine or purchase them from manufacturers as we increased our quality standards and offer IGBT chips in multiprocess machines since 2009-2010 model years. The IGBT models hold up very well and that comes with a higher sticker price.
I am glad to see your replaced machine is on the way will arrive soon. We are opening service centers nearby our customers to expedite the repair by saving the ship time. We hope you can get back to welding quickly.
Thank you,
DP

Blazer3664 12-29-2011, 07:38 PM So far so good with the 205i I picked up this past summer. So far I have only ran it on 110V, tomorrow I'll be firing it up on 220V out at my dad's too see what it has on the higher end.
So far my only complain really is the consumables for the plasma cutter dont hold up as long as I would like. Probably partially do to my beginners technique, and I'm hoping they will last longer as I get better with the machine. Not a really big deal, just a heads up to those looking, plan on buying the big kit (30 piece for the 205i) of consumables with your machine if you will be doing a lot of cutting. The big kits are a LOT better buy over the long run.
longevity-inc.com,
Dry air, dont drag the tip on the workpiece, and I have been cleaning any spatter off with a small brass wire brush.
Any other tips for helping extend the life of the tips, and electrodes?
Fairly sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate some pointers on helping stretch their lifespan.
Thanks,
Jim

I received my new consumables today and have a problem.
The electrodes and tips fit fine, the ceramic cups do not.
The new cups are shorter, and do not have the ring cast into them for the guide to clip on. They also do not engage the threads, though it looks like they should. Cant see it in this pic, but the threads look the same depth (from the back) on both, but the cup hits the cutter handle housing, as it is not as large of diameter before the threads.http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/af101/blazer3664/plasma%20cutter%20stuff/DSCI0266.jpg
Has there been a change of the plasma cutter cups, and I need a different set of cups? Not sure whats up here.

:lmao: They'll call you back right away!
Clif notes, Don't expect the comunication to get better or the excuses to stop. Simon and his staff doesn't take accountability, responsibility, and doesn't follow thru on anything.
I tried to purchase a 60I plasma cutter on their black friday sale, their website sucked and wouldn't complete the sale, so I PM'd them on here and left a phone message with their office. After multiple calls and excuses it finally shipped out Dec 7th.
The unit looked pretty decent, but the air drier bracket didn't fit up and the manual was very genaric, but I expected that for the cheap price.
I fired it up and it pierced the steel nicely and then blew up after about 1" of cutting. Nice little arc flash, nasty smell and odd noise until the breaker triped. Great, I thought they tested every unit... Oh well it's got a warrenty.
So I called in to get it shipped back for repair or exchange, left my name and number with the support technician who wasn't authorized to do anything but agreed that if it trips the breaker when you plug it in it's then it should be sent back for repair. He said he'd leave a note for the boss and they'd get me a call tag issued. A couple days later after hearing nothing I called and was told I had to have a support tech troubleshoot it before they'd take it back. Sorry they aren't in right now try back later. After I initiated multiple call's trying to get them to warrenty it I finally decided I wanted a refund. After discussing my issues with Simon and he agreed to process my refund as soon as they recieved the unit. So I shipped the blown unit back at my expense. It took me calling multiple times over 6 buisness day's after they'd recieved the unit before they finally started to process my refund. Minus a restocking fee and the initial free shipping charge...Better to have some cash back than a completly unsupported unit!
:flipoff2: Longevity,
Roy
bics90xj 01-31-2012, 08:09 AM Reading this really scares the shit out of me cause I really wanted one of these units! Does anyone know if Everlast is better with thier support? Being it is the same unit with different wraping. The guys a Plasmacam just got one of each companys and is going to test them. Guess I'll get a good idea if the are worth using on my table.
longevity-inc.com 01-31-2012, 03:27 PM Hi Roy,
Sorry for your experience. We take pride in our customer service and support. The hundreds of posts will show you that on here. We have been hiring and training new staff to meet the demand of the sales and support calls we are getting.
Refunds are processed and take about 6 days to show on your credit card. All refunds are subject to our refund fee. We offered to replace the unit for you, but you chose to opt for a refund (which I can understand given your frustration). Should you give us the pleasure of being our customer again, please give me a call direct at 510-887-7090 x 201 and I will make sure you are well taken care of.
As far as Plasma Cam, we are working with them to offer an affordable solution for their cutting tables.
Thank you,
Simon Katz

busterw 02-01-2012, 06:21 AM I have a Forecut 50i that I am having a problem with and would like to see if anyone has had this issue: When I release the trigger, the air supply doesn't shut off.
I bought the machine September 30 of 2010 so it arrived a few days after that. Initially everything worked great. However, for about the last 6 months it has been doing this. Keep in mind that over the entire time I have had it, it MAY have 1-2 hours of total use on it so it isn't like it is worn out. Since I use it so rarely, I never could remember during business hours to call to report the issue. Keep in mind, I take very good care of my equipment and friends call me anal retentive about it. After each use, all item are nicely put away and the ground clamp and torch nicely rolled and hung on the hook on the side of my cart. So, it is not as if it has been abused and that caused failure.
Anyway, now I have called tech support and one fella told me it sound like the trigger and I would have to replace it. Sounds logical and simple enough. Then they emailed me to schedule a tech support call with another fella. We went through normal troubleshooting and he asked me to pull the trigger and release, then quickly unplug the torch's air supply from the front of the machine and see if it cut off then, which it did. So, now we know it is a problem somehow inside the torch.
Apparently the torch is not a warrantied item and this part is $149 which I simply cannot afford to put into something that gets as little use as my machine does. It's very frustrating to know with as little use as it has gottten, that there is a torch failure and it is that expensive. Has anyone had this issue and found an easy fix for it?

longevity-inc.com 02-01-2012, 08:59 AM HI Buster,
There is a quick fix for this issue. If you wish to do it yourself, you can. There is a solenoid inside the machine with a spring. The spring seemed to have jammed. You will need to remove the spring in the solenoid and stretch it about 1/4" and it will fix the problem. If you like, we can do that for you, but the machine will need to be returned to an authorized distributor.
There will not be a need to replace the torch.
longevity-inc.com 02-01-2012, 09:05 AM simon,
im looking for a unit to ad to my shop for plasma cutting and tig welding, is the 205 a good choice? i plan on tig welding sheetmetal along with chromoly sometimes along with mild steel tubing for cages and sliders. pm me your best price on the unit you think would best fit me thanks
josh
Hi Josh,
I would push for the WeldMax 250i, which will give you a bit more power on the TIG. The unit will not weld aluminum, but will handle all exotic metals. The plasma cutter on it is great as well and it includes a pilot arc for cutting expanded metals.
Check to see if you need 110v capability and let us know as the WeldMax 250i is 220v only!
busterw 02-01-2012, 09:07 AM Well stretching a spring seems like a lot easier and cheapier solution than a $150 torch. I can try it tonight and see if it works. Can ya tell me what I am looking for?
My question is though if the air turns off fine when the torch is quickly disconnected but not with it connected, doesn't it seem the problem is with the torch rather than something inside the machine? Seems like if it was a solenoid in the machine then it would not turn off in either scenario.
Also, it seems like if it is a solenoid, then buying a replacement torch would do no good from what you are saying.
Thanks!
longevity-inc.com 02-01-2012, 10:16 AM Buster,
You are correct. Lets try the solenoid spring before taking the next step. It should be a fast fix. Remove the solenoid, remove the inside spring and just stretch it. Put it back and you should be done!
busterw 02-01-2012, 10:19 AM Am I going to be able to easily identify the solenoid once I open the machine up?
If not, can you send me a parts breakdown linK?
Buster,

longevity-inc.com 02-01-2012, 11:05 AM Hi Buster,
That is correct. It will be on the front of the machine and you will see a hose running to it from the solenoid. I am going to see if we have a picture for it.
Thanks,
Simon
busterw 02-01-2012, 11:12 AM A picture would be great because now I am completeyl confused. I thought I was opening the machine up to look for a solenoid. Now you are referring to a hose running to it from the solenoid. What is the "IT" you are referring to?
Hi Buster,
That is correct. It will be on the front of the machine and you will see a hose running to it from the solenoid. I am going to see if we have a picture for it.
Thanks,
Simon
longevity-inc.com 02-01-2012, 11:35 AM The solenoid will have a hose running to it from the machine or from the back. It is the only part inside that will have an air hose hooked up to it. Still looking for a pic.
jd92yj 02-01-2012, 11:49 AM The 250 sounds good pm details and best price to 21078
busterw 02-01-2012, 03:30 PM Well I am happy to report that Simon got me all fixed up. I called him on the phone to get specifics as to what I needed to do. I did exactly that and my machine is working perfectly again.
I can't say enough about these guys, their knowledge and willingness to help and stand behind their products.

I was going to ask the same thing. I need either a 50i or a 60i. Repeat customer. :D I already have an LP416D and it's great, just need something for a new plasma table.
teknics 02-17-2012, 07:02 PM Hey, I'm looking to get a plasma and a TIG fairly soon and I've just come across your machines, which would you reccommend for doing aluminum and working with 3/16-1/4 steel, most likely on a fairly frequent basis.
dundee3 02-18-2012, 09:35 AM id go LS-200P
teknics 02-18-2012, 09:14 PM so after looking through everything i think I might go with the WeldAll 200PI, any chance there's a tax season special going on or something?
teknics 02-20-2012, 09:18 AM So there's a weld all 200 and 250 both for the same price, is the 250 an older design or something, why would they be the same price?
longevity-inc.com 02-21-2012, 01:32 PM Here's a great project one of our welding forum (http://longevity-inc.com/forum/) members did, custom built, great appearance, and overall great idea. Will the 200pi be able to handle 1/4" steel welding? What would the max be? How thick would the plasma be able to cut?
Is it able to be used with torchmate tables?

We do have an LP-80 plasma cutter but it is $550.00 right now with $50.00 shipping. That is marked down from $949.99 as the model is discontinued. You get a lot of bang for that price. There is one available at that price.
If you are interested, please let us know. January specials are only good in January and we did not have a February one, but will have a March.
longevity-inc.com 02-28-2012, 09:57 AM Is the weldall 200pi capable of being used on a cnc table? What other accesories should I order with it to be able to set it up for a table?
Yes, the WELDALL 200pi does have a CNC port for table hookup. It uses blow back start for firing the plasma so it will work great on a table like Torchmate's once configured properly.

I would have to say my favorite part of this is the ladder and the roller brush.

pistonhonda 03-21-2012, 10:58 PM got my 50i in yesterday and had a chance to take it for a spin tonight. I did not get to play long but first impression it beats using a grinder with a cut off wheel, that for sure. very pleased with the machine so far and pumped about future projects. the march madness deal was a BIG plus too. i will write a better review after i put in some more hours.
jam0o0 03-22-2012, 06:08 AM if i have a discontinued model can i still get consumables? mine is a 40 amp longevity machine.

Do the prices on the web page reflect this sale or there an addition 20% from the prices listed?
I'm looking for a machine that can weld 1/4" aluminum (rock rings on my H2 rims).
