Hi all,
I just wanted to say I purchased one of the Longevity-inc.com LS160P multipurpose welder/plasma machines. I have had this unit for about 6 months now and am extremely pleased with the unit. I am especially pleased with Simon and the excellent support he offers. I had shipping damage with my first unit and it was replaced at no cost to me without question and promptly. Simon even handled the damage claims with the shipper leaving me with nothing to do but have fun playing with the unit.
If you are looking for a low cost but very functional unit with excellent support check out www.longevity-inc.com and the equipment they offer.

I have posted a video on YouTube of my welder doing a CNC plasma cut for those who would like to see it in action.

Actually, I never made any fake accounts. Those members are both on my other forums, and on weldingweb.com

I asked for their support and since I took care of them, they are taking care of me. One hand washes the other.

Ive been nice to a lot of people in my dealings and those people are showing their appreciation. :)

Thanks to Pat and Dan for their support!,

Jorge,

Thanks for the question. The 160 does not have the Pulse welding. The 160P has a lot more controls especially useful for welding aluminum.

We have a separate mig welder with a spool gun called the WeldMate LM-250L, which is also on the website. Sorry for the delayed response.

So for basic cutting and welding with 110V supply what is the best deal for the money? Main uses will be steel fabrication with .120 or slightly thicker material, maybe some chromo and later on some aluminum is possible

RocKrawler,

For the thickness of the steel you need to cut, the 40amp unit will be just fine. We have the LP-40D plasma cutter and the WeldMax LC-416D plasma cutter/welder. Now, both of these units are 110/220v, but remember they perform better on 220v kinda like having double the horsepower.

I can give you the WeldMax 416D which has the same Plasma built inside the machine but also offers a tig and stick welder for $500.00 shipped. That is $100.00 above the stand alone LP-40D price. Please note although the WeldMax LC 416D will cut aluminum, it will not weld it with Argon gas in TIG mode.

Please let me know if you are interested! I was told you are also a vendor by one of our customers. Please call me direct 415-752-7774 x201 and I will be more than happy to help answer some questions for you.

Jfoster,

We do have some units that have the 50 amp plasma cutter built inside with Tig and Stick Welders. Here is a great look at one:

http://longevity-inc.com/product_details.php?id=53

It is our WeldMax LC-520D 50AMP Plasma Cutter and 200AMP Tig Welder with a 140amp Arc Welder

The website price is $749.99 with free foot pedal and argon regulator, but the pirate price is $699.99 with FREE SHIPPING and DOA Guarantee insurance with 3-year warranty both parts and labor and a 30 piece consumables kit. The unit can cut up to .5 inch no problems. We actually had a customer cut .5 inch with a 40amp unit without a problem. The 50amp unit is even better and rated at 1inch, but thats in my opinion a high value rating! If you are going to cut up to .5 inch, i recommend the 50amp unit or the weldmax lc-520d.

Let me know if you are interested!

Jorge,

We never had any performance issues are described in your captions! Our supplier is not the one who supplies our competitors. In fact, you can ask one of their former employees who is now our dealer. Call them - they had or still may have one of our WeldPro 160P machines tested and ready to sell! With their little experience with our company and experience with the other company, they will tell you that our machine is one of the best built they have seen... those were their words to us. But please understand, the WeldPro series is a new machine on the market and we are constantly trying to improve our product line with improvements to boards and other necessary components. However, we sold a lot of these machines and have had much success!

Here is their number: 1-480-986-8877

Ask for Jerry or Jim - they are impressed with our quality machines and have been in the business for as long as any other competitor out there.

We are expecting our newest batch shortly, but if you want one unit right away, call them and they will be more than happy to help!

What are the diferences the LS-200P has over the WeldPro LS-160P ???

The difference between the two:

The WeldPro LS-160P has a 40amp plasma cutter, 160amp AC/DC tig welder and the arc welder.

With the WeldPro LS-200P, you get the 50AMP plasma cutter, 200amp AC/DC tig welder.

So, the WeldPro ls-200p is more powerful unit. Also with the WeldPro LS-200P you get a 60amp torch upgrade for free - that torch has better consumables life.

I am not a welder but I want to start fabbing my own stuff. Is the WeldMax LC-416D a good machine to start learning on. I've done some stick and some mig welding but never TIG. I don't want to buy a beginner type machine only to be disappointed by its performance later. I will use it mostly on mild steel for bumpers, sliders, carriers an the like. Would one of your machines work for me. Also, why are they so cheap. What is the difference between yours and say a Miller?

Hello,

Whether you are buying a $2000 tig welder or a $500.00 welder, you will be a better welder with practice. Our machines are geared towards first timers, hobbyists, and light industrial uses. The WeldMax LC-416D is a great machine, but please be aware it is a DC only welder, which means you will not be able to Tig aluminum with Argon gas. It is very easy to use and there are no more than 4 buttons including the on/off.

Another great thing about our company is if you join www.longevity-inc.com/forum

You can talk with people who use your machine on a daily basis and get the best advice for FREE. Yes, we have our own welding forum with a lot of nice individuals who are there to help!

The units are affordable for many reasons, we are the biggest seller of imported welders, we are much smaller than miller so our costs are less, and we are less known so you are not paying for the brand name.

Also, please understand, Miller has been in business for 100 years - they are much more advanced and offer more service facilities, dealers, etc...

However, our warranty is top notch in the welding industry and from a smaller company, you will receive first hand, personal service.

Also, please look at our site for reviews and customer testimonials - you will see why all our customers are bragging!

If you want someone to contact you, please send us a PM with your contact info or call us during our business hours!

Thanks

Thanks for the questions.

The Weldmax 518D for pirates is $599.99 with the foot pedal, argon regulator, and free 25 piece consumables kit.

The Weldmax 520D which has 20more amps on the tig side is $699.99 with the pedal, argon regulator and 25 piece kit.

We are upgrading the torches to 60amp torches free of charge on both machines. Each come with a 50 amp cutter and the difference between the tig is either 180amps or 200amps.

For 110v, you will decrease your performance, but you will still be able to cut up to 3/8inch.

Call us we would love to help you out! Since you are pirate member, you are saving $200.00 of website prices with the free kit and $50.00 discount.

Do you have any welders over 200A?

longevity-inc.com
09-19-2008, 09:29 AM
Lessan,

Thank you for the question. We currently do not have any tig welders over 200amps. Currently, we do have a mig that is industrial grade and rated at 250amps. However, please note that when you are in that amp category or anything past 250amps, you should be using water cooled torches.

Our torches at this time are air and argon cooled. We will have some more powerful units shortly. Keep checking the site and we will be keeping you updated on here.

Our 200amp ACDC welder is a pretty powerful machine. How thinck of metal do you need to weld? What type of metal?

Hi Everyone,

We are allowing our partners Jerry, Jim, and Kay from A2Z Electronics & Welding to provide sales and support on these forums for Longevity Welding Equipment.

As you may know, Jim has been a member of these forums for a long time and has assisted many of you with his previous company affiliation. Jim, Jerry, and Kay are currently Longevity Welding dealers and since you have past experience with their dealings on here, we have decided that it would be best if they took over these forums for sales and support.

Jerry and Jim are very knowledgeable with the plasma cutter and welders we sell, and we have no doubt that they will assist you with a professional and respectable manner. They are also very knowledgeable with repairs and service of our equipment so for technical support feel free to give them a call.

If you have any complaints, suggestions, dealer or sponsor inquires, please email me at simon@longevity-inc.com or call toll free 877-LONG-INC / 877-566-4462 ext: 201.

I would definately be looking towards the TIG/Stick end. As it stands, I would be looking to weld a max of 3/8" steel. My understanding is that woudl require something in the 300A+ range, at least with TIG.

Your reply does lead to another question though. If so inclined, could I put a water cooled torch on your welder at a later date?

Thanks
Nick

Nick,

Our 200amp welders can weld up to .3 of an inch in tig mode, so you do not need a bigger machine. In the future, we will offer water cooled torches, and yes, we will make sure they are adaptable with the current setup.

Product review.
I was fortunate enough to get one of the very first Longevity Force Cut LP 80D plasma cutters. The tracking number was sent to me on Thursday the day of pickup at Longevity. I received the unit much to my surprise on Friday.
The unit was well packed and showed no signs of shipping damage. One of the first things I noticed was the torch cable was covered with a denim like fabric instead of the usual rubber sheath. I like the feel of this over the rubber. The torch has nice heavy consumables that look like they will last quite a while. Another nice surprise was that this unit didn't need contact to start the cut. I was cutting rusty 1/4" steel plate for testing and didn't need to clean the metal or make contact for the cut to start regardless of whether it was a pierce cut or a severance cut.
The duty cycle at 60 amps is 100% so for normal every day use you shouldn't have to worry about letting the unit cool. I was only running at 40 amps today because I didn't know for sure what the AC current requirements were (suggested 50 amp circuit and plugs).
The front panel is simple and easy to understand. The unit is fairly compact at 13.5 inches high and not excessively heavy.
Once I get the proper power connections I will do a 1" severance cut and will make a video of that.
I really am impressed with this machine, it is going to be a gread addition to my shop.
This unit is not listed on the Longevity website yet so if you are interested contact Simon by PM, phone, or email.
I made a video of the quarter inch cut, it can be viewed here.

This is my second Longevity product and I am extremely happy with both units. My other unit is the LS160P multifunction welder.

I just got my 40a plasma today.................I hooked it up for a quick test on old rusty steel, had to kill the bees inside the square tube 1st:laughing:

I guess my "other" brand was junk before it took a dump and broke with less then 5 hours use:shaking:, this thing rocks!:smokin:
I have renewed faith in these machines:)

I was able to easily cut square tube, my old machine would sputter out on the corners, being they were thicker, I can go from sheet metal to 3/16" without adjusting the machine, couldn't do that on other brand, had to adjust it constantly to different thickness stuff.

I'll get to using it more and get a full review up in the tool section............I am very happy to have a working plasma again, thx Simon:grinpimp:

all plasma cutters are not equal:eek:

I got the wiring done to connect the Longevity Force Cut LP80d plasma cutter today. Simon confirmed it takes at least 40 amps but 50 is preferred. I wired mine for 50 amps. I made a quick 1 inch severance cut just to see how it performed. The link below is a video of the cut. Keep in mind my hand is not as steady as it used to be so it isn't a very smooth cut but it cut through and it looks like it could cut quite a bit thicker with no problems. The unit is more impressive each time I use it.
The cut was made at 80 amps with air pressure of 85psi.

Hi Guys,

The reason the unit is not on the website is it just arrived and we did not have time to take professional pictures of the machine. We will have it up this week! The machine is one of the best plasma cutters on the market for the reliability, price, and power.

Gadget is a long time customer of ours and had an opportunity to test it first. He was second place in one of our welding contest and received this machine as a prize! I am glad he was able to show the power of the machine.

Seabass, thank you for your fair and honest opinion. As we stated, we are the leading importer out there and I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to provide our service on Pirate.

Hi,

The torch collets are compatible with other brand name collets and you can find that information on our forum www.longevity-inc.com/forum

Search for Collets. However, the weldcraft torch currently cannot work with our units. We do have all the parts in stock however.

product review on the weldpro 160 multi function unit.

Customer Service i will give it a 9 out of 10, just because they didnt ship it out on time, otherwise outstanding customer service.

Shipping - 7 out of 10. The package did not arrive on time, was suppose to be here saturday, i received it tuesday. Oh well

Price - 10 out of 10. You absolutelly cannot beat it!!!!!

Quality of the materials used - 8-10 its a little bit on a cheaper side, (you can tell its not made in the USA) But Durrable.

PLASMA CUTTER - 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For me the thickest stuff i am going to cut is 3/8 steel, so 40 AMP plasma is plenty enough. Very easy to start the arc and maintain it, was cutting 1/4 steel like a hot knife thru butter. Actually cut just as good if not better than my buddys 1200$ miller plasma cutter.

Stick Welder 10 out of 10, started with 90 amps, wow it was sooo easy to strike the arc and maintain it. even at lower amps, i ended up going down to 20 amps was easy to strike the arc and maintain it. I am very impressed with the stick welder.

TIG welder - cant rate it because i havent used it, and prob wont since i dont have argon, and the shit is really expensive to fill here in hawaii, plus i dont know how to tig weld, but i am sure one day i will learn, Untill then the FOOT PEDAL and ARGO GAS REGULATOR GAUGE will sit in the closset along with the Tig torch.

I have the welder wired for 220. I dont think im going to go to 110.

OVER ALL GREAT PRODUCT AND AN UNBEATABLE PRICCE!!! I WOULD RECOMEND IT TO EVERYONE!!!! And dont forget that you get a free 30 piece consumables for being a pirate! thats another 80 dollar value, free!

Thanks for the review. Sorry for the delay in shipping -we had to test the unit to insure that it worked perfectly, which delayed your order by one day. Also, your location in Hawaii does not have next day shipping available with DHL. Thank you very much for the order and the fair review! We are thankful for you giving us the opportunity to supply you with a unit that meets your needs.

James Hill welding the Missouri State Mascot with the Longevity WeldMate LT-200D Tig Welder.

First we must thank the welder, James Hill, for his fine work and pictures. We are extremely happy that he was able to show what our welder can do and obviously, you guys can see that James is a professional!

Here are a few pictures of the Bear. If you have any questions, please feel free to email him at jkill@salisbury.edu

He does free lance work as well, and you can ask him how he built the bear from scratch and how the Longevity Welder has been holding up for him! We are thankful for our partnership with James and look forward to a long term relationship with him.

Yes, the 60amp has a rated cut of 1.25" and draws about 35amps on the input. Just make sure your braekers and wire are heavy enough.

HI All,

To those who entered and still wish to win a free plasma cutter, please go to the link on our forum. The contest will be run on our forum since it was pulled on this one. We will not require a sig on our forum, just a registered Longevity Forum ID. We are currently working with the the owners of this website to make sure we run a contest on here that best fits the forum and is approved by the owners and the majority.

Because we had several contest that ended without a winner on several websites, many people were upset about not having an opportunity to win, so we ran the same random drawing contest on our forum.

I'm interested in a LP-40D, are there any other items needed for initial use? Approx how fast does can a non professional expect to go thru "consumeables"? Any reason it can't or wouldn't do thinner stuff like auto body panels, etc.?

Can I get a quote on an LP-40D shipped to 36606 (commercial)? Also, how much for the stand of set up?

Thanks!

Our Pirate Special is LP-40D for $399.00 + 30pk consumables/ Free Shipping,
LP-50D for $499.00 + 30pk consumables/ Free Shipping.
These units come with a PT-31 Torch. Some are pushing these units with the 60 amp torch, the consumables cost more and they don't work. We have tested this set up, they just spit and sputter and don't work. We recommend the PT-31 Torch, it works perfectly. We test all the units that we sell and promote if we have problems with a unit we don't sell or promote. We are welders not salesman.
If you have any questions give us a call, pm or email us at A2Z we will give you the truth. By the way we will have a wiring video on our website later today, that should answer any questions and help you wire these unit up. Once you see it, it's simple.

unrelated
my manual says 6/17a input
but I trip my generator & I think it's rasted 28A-35A 5500watt,, 8750peak
I have not hooked up an Amp meter to test, this is at 220V
you should have at least a 30A service
if you areadding one, go 50A so you can always run anything

Just wanted to say I was at the A2Z store this morning and purchased a 416D. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but will soon. The service in the store is first rate. They are as nice in person as what has been previously reported. Down to earth, easy to talk to and no line of bullshit. I can only hope the machine is as good as the service.

I thought some of you guys might be interested in the DC welder I bought from Longevity(A2Z). This little unit is pretty amazing for its cost and size. ($179 delivered) I had an issue with the leads and A2Z took care of it for me. Check it this pretty review of the unit. If you need a small welder like the Maxstar for repair work you cant beat it.

Hi Everyone,

We are happy to introduce the new Longevity WeldMate M200 Portable IGBT Mig Welder.

This unit is about 45lbs and the size of our 60amp plasma cutter. The mig welder is 200amp and is capable of a spool gun attachment. Our Longevity spool gun is similar to a Miller spool gun.

The M200 also features a motorized spool feeder inside.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask A2Z on here about the new unit. If you need, price quotes, please respond to this thread.

What is the max input current on your biggest AC TIG/Plasma machine at max output current?

Do you have a water cooled torch option yet? I have used a 200 amp TIG with an air cooled torch to the point where I get 2nd degree burns through a pair of leather gloves, so a water cooled torch would be nice. Do any other commercially availible torches work with your machines? What TIG and Plasma consumables will work with your machines? I don't mind buying consumables from you guys, but if my last cup cracks or I need a new piece or tip, I would like to be able to hit a welding store up and keep working instead of being down for 4-7 days waiting on a 3 dollar part from you...

Thanks

cccbroncos,
Sorry about not posting up about the info sooner.
The max input currant on our LS-200p is 30amps. That draw is from the plasma maxed out. The tig side draws about 35amps max.
We do not have a water cooled torch's available yet. We have had some in the past but we were less than impressed with the quality. We are working to have a reliable water torch available soon.
Our tig torch Is simalar to the weldmate series and alot of the lenses, collets, bodies are interchangeable. Our plasma torch uses the same consumables as an esab model 31. The only differance is that the esab does not have a reversable electrode.

Hello,
I am interested in purchasing a plasma cutter. It seems as if I saw somewhere on the forum an 80 amp model that wasn't listed on the longevity website. Can I get information on pricing and specs for whatever your largest single-phase cutter is? Also, what is shipping time and cost to 94507?
Thanks,

The Original post of that deal was actually On august 4.And was only intended to run about a week. We initally thought that those units were comeing with a pt-31 torch. Instead they have the new pilot arc start plasma torch. Witch chow alot less consumables. Pirate 4x4 price on that unit is $950 w/free shipping.
