: Pics from the Chico gathering today?
Curtis 10-13-2001, 06:57 PM Someone have pics of me riding the wheelie down the rock course today?
I now have joined the ranks of needing a 60 front. The 44 just won't hang with 39.5's
jeepsteve 10-13-2001, 07:48 PM Curtis,
I can't believe I forgot to carry my digital with me to the deal... it was in my rig.
I missed your wheel stand anyhow.
To bad about the mud bog, I thought you would blow right through it. I think after that ford spilled all that 90w from the front end, it made it too slick ). I heard a few guys behind us say "we can't miss this guy in the mud bog after what he did in the rocks"
Bummed that I missed it.
Anyhow, I couldn't believe how many people and rigs were there, someone had to catch your wheel stand.
Have a good one,
Steve
Scout Dude 10-14-2001, 09:32 AM Uh, Curtis, How did you get 39.5's on your Scout? Did you remove the fenders completly? Lets see some pics.

I'll get pics soon. Just a little more cut out and a little more lift.
WhiskeyTango 10-14-2001, 03:04 PM Yeah I'd love to see some pics of when my whole damn front wheel fell off. Good show though but Curtis you and I and the others that went when they put the peanut butter dirt in there got the shaft. How can someone win a mud bog in 2wd and then I break an axle and Ball joints 20 min later??
We need a little consistency please. Anyhow your rig is awesome and mine only has 3 wheels. Hope to see some pics up of the carnage.
P.S. Jeepsteve I didn't drop any fluid in the hole, it drained out where my shiot was parked when I pulled out my mangled axle. Thanks to Always towing and North Valley 4wd for the free tow!
Curtis you nead to slow down. And by the way I made it through the mud after you too. Thanks for the credit Curtis.
Curtis 10-14-2001, 07:11 PM Yeah, no kidding on the mud guys. Those guys who won the event went through when I could have driven my VW, without the motor, through. And Abba, dude, like I told Kevin, you should have been given the trophy for that event cause you were the only one who went through when it was mud instead of water.
And I would go slower if i had the dual crawler. So, make it for me dude Anyway, I broke my front when I was going slow so I figured I'd put on a show. It sounds like I did
WhiskeyTango 10-14-2001, 07:30 PM Abba what kind/brand of doubler did you run? What gear/T-case selection were you in? That was an awesome display of loud pedal use, one I'll never forget.
EricFJ40 10-14-2001, 09:30 PM Hey Curtis, I was just E-mailed a bunch of pictures from the show. The guy that gave them to me set them up kinda funky, so I'll send 'em to you to see if you can do anything with them.
BTW this is Eric with the tan 'cruiser on 39's.
Just wondering, did you guys have any luck getting that Nasty-A$$ mud off your rigs?

WhiskeyTango 10-14-2001, 11:47 PM Hey if we could get those pics up here that would be cool. I powerwashed my ride for and hour Sat. evening and got most of the mud off the paint. I had solid goo between my front axle and oil pan. Getting mud out of coil springs sucks also. If anyone wants to play with my pressure washer in Chico they can spray off the underside of my truck and use it on theirs also
1MutCJ7 10-15-2001, 08:12 AM Abba definately should have got the trophy. That was a killer performance!
Who ended up getting 1st in the mud and on the rocks?

Eric, just got 'em. Thanks. I'll look through them.
I spent a couple of hours yesterday using my garden hose. I got the mud off but there's a film now all over everything.
Today I am going to rip into the frontend to see what went out. I think the R&P is shot. I also have a strange noise coming from my tcase. I beat the crap out of it testing it for sure

Curtis 10-15-2001, 07:36 PM Brian I dunno. I tore apart my front end today and found that the ring gear is toast and so is the EZ-Locker
If I can find the stuff I need, I may make it. But at this point it doesn't look like it.
